Nothing verbal should constitute a Hardware ID ban. Prove me wrong.

Subject heading said it all.

I believe EA and by proxy: APEX Legend's policies involving permanently banning players (AS WELL AS THEIR HARDWARE) for infringements not related to cheating/botting in any way shape or form is close to inhumane and is definitely far too harsh a punishment for the infringements involved.

Because I am one voice. My opinion will be swept over like it's nothing and policies won't be changed.

But EA. APEX.

You're both incredibly wrong. Your policies are terrible, and based on how many mistakes your company has made over the years, you really should have little right to impose such stringent measures on people who contribute to your game, albeit in the wrong way.

I will not ask you to reconsider. Because it's not something you would first consider.

But thanks for putting us up to different standards you would your own company.

It's a disgusting activity and it honestly makes me ill to think of how much hypocrisy is at play.

If there is a ban on your account then you will need to speak to our Terms of Service team in relation to any ban.

There is no other way to speak with the team and we are not able to assist with TOS issues on AHQ.

The process to contact our ToS team can be found here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/account/information-about-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

    1. Click Contact us at the top of any page on EA Help.
    2. Select the game that your account was banned or suspended from. If it’s on your whole EA Account, choose Origin.
    3. Choose your platform.
    4. Select Manage my account, then Banned or suspended account.
    5. Fill out any other details below.
      • For example, if you picked Origin, it might ask you if you are accessing the game through an Origin Access membership.
    6. Click Select contact option.
    7. Sign in to your account that has the ban or suspension, if you aren’t already.

  • @Synergy0909 Hey there, when clicking accept to the terms of service the game has set up you are obligated to follow the rules or bans can happen. No one want's to join up in a game to hear toxic players cry and whine something was not done their way. Rule 5 is pretty clear on its meaning.

Harass, threaten, bully, embarrass, spam or do anything else to another player that is unwanted, such as repeatedly sending unwanted messages or making personal attacks or statements about race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc. Hate speech is not tolerated.
  • Like what I’ve said in your previous thread, I think no one got hardware banned ever just for toxicity. Perma ban yes, but not hardware banned unless someone was caught cheating.

  • @Synergy0909 Inhumane is eering on the melodramatic somewhat, but punishments should be reflective of behaviour I agree.

With this being said, in terms of verbal abuse the severity and frequency of said abuse should be factored in also, which I believe is already the case. The fact that not everyone receives heavy bans for this kind of behaviour reflects that.

I saw your initial post regarding your friend, and I doubt lobbying against a ban which was seemingly deserved, by trying to demonise EA for enforcing it is going to get you anywhere.

I can't disagree really with your title.  A CM mentioned in that thread that "unfortunately there was a bit more to the interaction you mentioned than that one question."  I have to wonder that, if there had been a HWID ban, that "bit more" might have something to do with it.  But my understanding, like cheeseman's, is that HWID bans only occur in Apex for cheating or other serious violations.  I'm not by any means an expert on the discipline system, though.
