I am curious about others opinion/For me, while I do appreciate it, I think it is just slapped together, I doesn't feel like a gun game.Every gun game what I played in different FPS games where always a solo mode, I don't understand why I need to be in a team.Completely gives me the impression that they grabbed control mode shrinked the map and just added a gun rotation after each kill, it feels more like a mini royale then a gun game.This is completely relevant, but people don't do anything else just roof camp and for me the game is not enjoyable because it's a hot mess, people sniping from Narnia, getting shot in the back as soon as you kill someoneAnyway what are your thoughts?

I suspect that people who love hot dropping will love this mode. It's like hot dropping, but with the advantage of always having a weapon in your hand.I actually love it, outside of the horrific matchmaking. It would be awesome if I didn't have to pit my sub-0.4 K/D against TTVs with 10,000 apex kills every match.As it stands currently, it's too stressful to enjoy more than a few matches per night. One guy on my team straight out told me, "you don't belong in this group, bro," and I told him "I completely agree with you." As if I want to be playing against enemies who are sniping people using the P2020 from the top of the cliff.It's crazy how many people are using tap strafing around every corner, vehicle and gunfight, too. I hate tap strafing with a passion. /tapstrafingrant

@Renegade_Prime86 I'm enjoying it a lot. And my friends that enjoyed cods old gun game seem to enjoy it.What I am sick of is people saying its different than other gun games. Yes it is! It's apex version! You want the others maybe go play them if they are so much better? They clearly are not if you are playing the Apex one.

I put in a few more hours tonight and finished off some 10K dmg challenges. I was also able to get my first game-winning kill. I love this game mode! It seems much freer of very annoying issues than Control did, and it feels much better as a warmup as well. A mode with scoring based around kills rather than control points feels much more "Apex." It is by far my favorite non-BR LTM so far for sure.

Don't like it at all, really.3rd party central, do 90% of the work for team mate (or enemy) to steal the kill, the fact that Legends and their abilities are built for BR is even more apparent in this mode than in Arenas.I did 5 matches the first day to try it, have not touched the mode since. Back to pubs BR for what little event tickets I can manage with minimal engagement/ratting solo.

@CCbathwater You got melee killed. It can happen on any level.

I think the mode by itself is pretty much fine.
Whilst other games don't directly really have this form of gun game, they do have TDM.
Having a gamemode like this is pretty fun, it doesn't have to be like other games so some originality is welcome.
I personally find it useful to have some teammates, otherwise the entire lobby would just roofcamp and it would be impossible to take them down because you would be all alone.
It would also be much easier to get absolutely destroyed if it were a solo mode, which could take away the quality of the matches.
Right now it feels like I can move around the map and just take some fights without any issues, if it becomes too hard then I'll start moving with my team and that usually helps.
Haven't had that many problems with leavers, though once a player leaves then it just becomes a domino effect of people leaving.

@Renegade_Prime86 would be more fun if the last stage is using melee instead of the knife.

That was my thought exactly. Whereas that Yampolski guy who did Control, did such a great job with it, also thinking ahead about the issues that could arise and tried to nip them in the **** before releasing the mode, like changing Lifeline ult to make her relevant, etc.. This just seems rushed. And yup, people just head straight for the roof and feed each other free kills, like they're colluding or something. Total ******* mode.
Oh, and the maps are too small and full of buildings that obstruct my view of enemies. Especially Skulltown is particularly bad in this regard. Not to mention the sound on Skulltown, where you literally can't hear if they're outside the building, ontop of it, or right behind you.

I'm not a great player (1.24 kdr) but hold my own and my AD on Arenas is over 1,000. In this mode though it's barely worth me turning up.

@Renegade_Prime86 Overall, I'm really enjoying it. I really like that it is a new take on the classic Gun Game mode that I am used to playing on older CoD's. Apex took a FFA mode that I've always enjoyed, and turned it into a team mode, to keep in line with their "team-based" theme for Apex.

I was iffy on the weapon system at first, but after a couple days, I'm digging it. I somehow manage to skip the Charge Rifle almost every match, which is awesome for me, because I genuinely hate that thing, Lmao!

I like both the maps that they have so far, but I'm still hoping they eventually add more maps, and bring this mode back from time to time, or in a permanent LTM rotation of some sort. I hate Fragment in BR, but I am having fun with it in Gun Run. I main Pathy, so I grapple between the station and broken building, and get some pretty fun fights! I prefer the Skulltown map, but I'm fine with either one of them.

My biggest complaint so far, would be the spawns. We lost two matches yesterday, where we were tied with another team, but we died and respawned on the complete opposite side of the map and couldn't make it back to the action in time. It would be nice if they made the spawns a little closer to the action areas, or put one of those little jump-boosters back in the spawn areas, like they did in Control. Just something to help get back into the action quicker. Every second is crucial in Gun Run!!

As a solo player, the spawns are even weirder. I've had several matches where I start out the game on the completely opposite side of the map from my supposed squad mates. This also happens extensively throughout the match, which is a huge disadvantage.
