PC Ranked filled with smurfs

I just made the switch from console to PC. So this is my first time playing on PC in about 20 years.

I've been playing a few ranked games today and every game is just filled with smurfs. I haven't died to a single person without a 3/4k badge or a 20kill badge. 

Has it always been this bad on pc? I thought the learning curve would've been easier. This is just not fun. I have relatively good game sense in Apex since I've been playing a lot on console but my mechanics are on a bronze level on pc.

Nothing really I can do against a tap-strafing supergliding bunnyhopping smurf player on bronze lobbies. 

I guess there is nothing else to do than report them for smurfing but that's not going to do anything, right?
