peacekeeper

i'm literally not even trolling i'm just tired of dying to shotguns that take almost no skill whatsoever lol please elaborate on why someone would use such a skill-less and broken weapon. "they're just playing the game having fun using a gun they think is good." person described is considered #1 on the list (noob)

terrible design; if everyone min/maxed in this game you would see almost everyone using the peacekeeper. how is that good game design? it beats every other gun within 10 meters (where most of the game's combat which leads to kills is)

don't get me wrong i like this game quite a lot besides the part about shotguns and a small handful of little issues, but this problem imo is nearly game-ruining for me

You understand that this just reads like saltyness because you can't/won't learn to use one yourself, right?

I had the exact same feelings about the Wingman...so I used & used it till I could annoy other people with it :D

The R-301 is a better shotgun then the peacekeeper is lol.

I bring two R-301's with me and like 900 light ammo.

this game isn't the first FPS i've played, and know very well how to use a shotgun from experience (whatever level that may be, definitely fairly high up there) across a dozen+ games. even if i wasn't familiar with one, i could easily pick up a peacekeeper and do exceedingly well compared to me say using a carbine or a prowler

i strictly do not use shotguns for the sake of going on crazy rampages and slaying out entire squads with ease versus working for that with an automatic weapon (very hard on its own to achieve in both cases, just stating the former compared to the latter is sort of a cakewalk tbh)

Get better at countering it scrub. I hate playing other games and getting sniper by some coward that hides on a hill. At least when I come at you with my shotgun I -could- miss and you -could- kill me. But since I’m actually skilled with the shotgun unlike my teammates I’ll probably down you in two shots with armor. Salty * scrub. Lol. Kids these days.

there's no real way to counter shotguns. you're either in combat with him, or he's running away since he knows he's out of range. cover doesn't do a whole lot since 1 shell > 1-3 auto bullet, and it just takes 1 shot to the head to completely destroy the target which isn't that hard since you don't have to deal with recoil and knowing that a single bullet doesn't hit for only 20 versus 114.

yea you could come at me with a shotgun, it would be insanely unwise to not at least have some cover to come in and out of to shoot a single shell which you don't have to aim pretty much, devastating my hp versus my 2-3 pellets i fire at you. also the skill cap for shotguns in basically every fp is incredibly low. btw where do you fit in on the list? i take you're #2 given the emotion you put into your comment and the levels of hate directed at me

if you can't understand how ridiculous shotguns are in general, let alone in this game, you probably need to reevaluate your game knowledge and skill

Hey @zulubarwastaken, if posting on AHQ please refrain from posting in such an aggressive and insulting style.

There is no need ever to have a go at any other users.

Just because you do not like using a shotgun in-game does not mean that all agree with you. Everyone has a different playstyle and the great thing about a game like Apex Legends is that you can play the game however you want. Personally, I often carry a shotgun as a secondary weapon, as if you are cornered and facing a squad there's no better way of surviving.

I think shotguns are in a good place in this game, however I think the other guns are not. With the amount of bullets it takes to kill, no gun should come with 18 bullets... even with 30 it takes almost an entire magazine to down someone, where as shotguns can down 3 people before reloading. If they fix mag capacities, I think you’ll see less shotguns.
