NO WAY TO REPORT HARASSMENT
When I encountered racial harassment, I tried to unsuccessfully report two players. I then leave the game because I don't want to play with people who want to be racially ugly but then I get penalized. EA does nothing to prevent racial harassment. There's no monitoring of chat or the potentially hurtful comments people make. Then I leave and I get a ten minute penalty and have ranked points taking away from me. Unacceptable.
Poncho316 There are two ways to report a player:
First Way:
- While in a match, navigate to the squad tab, (you should be able to enter this tab at any point during the match):
- Click on the report icon below the offending player's banner card:
- From the list of report options, select "Inappropriate Chat / Content":
- Next, click on "Select Report Reason":
- Then click on "Inappropriate Chat":
- Lastly, click on "report":
Second Way:
- Head over to EA Help | Report a player
- Fill out the form, (and be sure to provide any evidence that you may have)
- Lastly, submit the form
Some additional things to consider as well:
- When the match is starting, press the button that shows up next to "mute squad", (in my case, the button that I would press, would be "F"):Note: If you forget to mute your teammates at the start of the match, you can also open up the squad tab, and then manually mute your teammates from there:
- Another option, would be to go into your in-game settings, (which will be under the first settings tab), and then turn on the "Communication Filter" setting:
This filter has 3 settings:
- "Everyone" - All players are unmuted
- "Friends Only" - Only your friends are unmuted
- "No One" - Everyone is muted
Note: Players who you had manually unmuted will remain unmuted, (so if you wish for them to be muted again, you would have to manually re-mute them yourself).
