I disagree with you.
By my opinion this option for players to quit in TRIOS is making it more fun for most of players.
If you wanna wait, you can wait, if you dont you dont have to. I think its alright if its not Ranked.
You need to think, why people play TRIOS instead of Ranked ?
They want less looting, less waiting, more shooting, some of them want hotdrops. 90% of TRIOS player want just that instant action.
Not everyone has all days to play video games and waiting those extra few minutes can make this game really annoying for people who have one or two hours per day to play video games because they have stuff to do...
TRIOS is perfect as it is. If they leave you can always take Marksman or Sniper and 3rd party from range which is also fun and you dont get this playstyle from you teammates most of time anyway because players in Apex mostly just push like crazy.
I may agree with you if Control mode was permanent, but it isnt.
You also can just play Ranked if you have problems with TRIOS I guess ? Its always there for you...
