@dioangelto be completely honest I think that Platinum (especially 4th level) lobbies, players are indeed now diluted and can be classified as still newbs.
I call them newbs who at least know what they are doing/trying to do e.g. people Gold and lower in many cases don't even know game basics while Platinum do usually have at least that knowledge.
Why "hot dropping" = dropping with most squads in the lobby to the same POI...see what Streamers do. People just are wannabes and want to do the same - land hot, get like fast 6-8 kills, start aiming for 20 bomb in ranked (99.999% fail to do that, even more, do fail when playing ranked on their top-level rank).
People are just uneducated, unwilling to use their brain, do some math, have at least a bit of knowledge in risk assessment and mitigation theories as well as the theory of probability.
Also many including here in these forums do encourage people to drop hot and just try to survive that way boosting their confidence and ability to react really fast, take 1 vs multiple later in life - kind of works but definitely spoils the experience for other teammates. E.g. yesterday I had a teammate who clearly stated that he is hard stuck and after we teamed up he said that he will do exactly that, gladly I was hard stuck at D4 and did not care much but did leave the party after he, of course, failed to do any significant damage.
Long story short - people like the clips where streamers hot-drop, get like 10+ or even 20+ kills per game and those are remembered the most. Yet at the same time people rarely watch 4-8h streams where the same streamers are grinding, starting a fight in the 3rd ring onwards, take at most 4 fights per map and end up with <10 kills / assists per game yet maxing out KP most of the maps if they are good because if you have success in the first fight after landing - statistically I guess the easiest if you land on a better loot, that's pretty much only variable - you get 6 KP for the team, then take 1-2 fights on the way to the end zone 6-12 KP more and eventually if win 6 KP are almost guaranteed = 18-24 KP per team if divided equally would put all teammates on max KP, but who cares about sharing is caring, they need the most damage, KP, 20 bomb 🙂
@Cro_PitttI would not agree to that statement about D4, haven't had good game teaming up in Discord in 3! days and over 20h of gameplay in both EU and NA servers. Even when I get matched with D3 some of them are just half boosted, maybe had a max win, and haven't lost RP yet to be demoted to D4.
In my experience each level people on 4th rank are just ones who are the worst = boosted, don't care, are trying to become better and do hot drops etc., 3rd level is a mix between 4th and 2nd, 2nd upwards are those people who really belong and you feel the difference when you play with them, ones who get to say, Diamond, not in 1-4 weeks but usually within a couple of days and most of the time do not worry about being hard stuck as they manage to get net positive days and progress or at least hover above levels like D4 and D3 or any other rank same levels depending on the skill set. E.g. myself I usually get hard stuck in Plat at the beginning of the split when there are many higher ranked players but when they are gone I jump straight into P2-P1 within a matter of days and then get hard stuck in D4 because my overall skill level probably is around D4 and if I get bad teammates I am dragged down to P2 or even lower level and when I have good ones I can keep up with D2+ people.
