Players wait 2 months for appeals, no name streamers get unbanned instantly

This is total garbage. I've been waiting for my appeal forever. I got a robot response and sucked it up.

Us peasants get to wait for our wrong bans to be lifted after 2 months. 8 weeks. 60 days. This small time streamer gets her ban lifted within 24 hours.

Why? All her viewers @'d hideouts. She got a high traction Twitter post and was a streamer. 600 likes!!! You get to go to the front of the line, special treatment.

But for the layman? EA takes your money, won't talk to you, and might tell you good news after 2 months. Might. After they get caught in a dataleak. Or they don't, and you feel robbed and spit on. This part is just more spit.

This thread was posted under an alt on a different ip just in case someone feels vindictive. How about you help us all out? How about someone gets hideouts to listen to us? How many viewers, retweets, likes, whatever do we need?

@EA_Mako @DarthValtrex @EA_David @EA_Lanna @EA_Aljo @EA_Kent

Don't sweep this under the rug. This isn't fair.

  • @Daze623 That's the problem. OP is saying we're second class citizens. We don't make them "money" even if we, like, pay them? To play their game? People here have bought heirlooms and gotten banned.

Tell me, what's more likely? Every American/European account that bought event skins/heirlooms (god forbid jfc) took an hour long flight to China to boot up Apex in a Chinese internet cafe, hack for an hour or 2, and now gets to lose those hundreds? but lol we don't get the time of day.

This thread is sad and the mods aren't even responding to it because it's just bad optics.

The question is: should streamers and content creators be placed in a different, priority queue? They arguably spend more than the average player, but many also have more influence over the playerbase and get income and sponsorships from doing game related content.. A long time interdiction affects them much harder than it does regular players. The same can be said about pros, they can lose valuable income and sponsorships, miss tournaments, training, ultimately affecting their whole team.

  • @DoYaSeeMe no, they shouldn't. this process shouldn't take forever.

but they will be, and my opinion doesn't matter to the shareholder suit squeezing respawn and EA anyway.

If all players are deemed equal when it comes to handing out bans, then the same should be said about investigating appeals on said bans.

Jumping the queue because you've got some clout is a load of crap lol.

@reasonablyupset To be fair if people actually read the TOS and all the agreements they agree to you and everyone else wuld see you are not the owner of your account. You rent it from the company the day you sign up for it. At which point they may close down the game shut down any account in the game with no excuses needed or liable for legal action. Respawn owns the accounts not the account users.
  • @E9ine_AC Dude who cares? You're talking like your favorite poptart flavor is boot leather. That's so dystopian. Some controlling ToS like that isn't ok lol and it's not like you should accept whatever happens to you because of that.

Do we know if there was any regular player getting unbanned in a matter of days?

I doubt that solving that streamer's case quickly had any slowdown effect on the regular players queue. Also, I don't think Hideouts is obligated to fix everyone's issues, he's probably helping whenever he can. Threatening him to get help is a stupid move, It may work a few times, but then it will close that door for good.

Anyway, the long waiting time is a big problem, something needs to be done to shorten it and there's also a need for more status updates and transparency, even though I don't see players reacting well to negative responses.

  • @reasonablyupset I just want to say streamers' job is bond to the game, they need to pay rent, food, etc. Casual players like myself are only playing for fun; I mean the amount of impact is different and I think fixing their issues should have priority.

@Alphabets those streamers can still play other games unless they have a contract forcing them to only stream Apex. They should not get special treatment.
