Please keep preselected drops in ranks

Rank mode will be so bad without preselected drop points. That s the thing that separate pubs from rank mode. This way players actually need to think when they play, not only hot drop with 15 squads in the same place and fight for 3 minutes, just to look for the other 5 squads which decided to jump at the end of the map. The quality of the game will drop, rank needed these preselected drop points, otherwise it would feel like playing pubs, which is not good. Instead of removing this, maybe try to make the loot better in the POIs with less buildings/beans to loot. I'm sure most of the players will agree with me, and who is not agreeing it means they can't use their brain to play ranked how it is now.

I like preselected drop... but i'm not really ok with it..... it makes the game too easy and remove a lot of tactics by adding RNG.. which is not good for ranked

  • I was listening right up until:

"who is not agreeing it means they can't use their brain to play ranked how it is now. "

Anyone could easily make the opposite argument, something along the lines that "weak players. who can't or won't get in a stack, need to have the dev hold their hands with fixed drops so they don't have to think about how to handle a sticky situation. Or learn how to prevent getting into one in the first place."

yea, i might have exaggerated with that 😂 but the point remains the same

  • I agree ...

All ready one day playing season 28 ranked and I'm seriously considering uninstalling the game just because of this.

People that complained about the poi drop system should either play pubs or learn how to manage the ring and move with it !!!

Now it's back to good old hot drop or land at the back of the map 💪

    Well done Respawn

    Nah, you are right.

We can't let players who prefer to play Bot Royale tell us how we should think. Additionally, Ranked players shouldn't tell Bot Royale players how they should think.

We should always promote democracy over dictatorship. Dictators want to control everything just because they feel it's their right.

bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad Update

  • nothing like falling 3 times into a hotzone and loss points 3 times en 20 seconds, good job respawn thinking about quit, its random drop removes alot of strats and rotations

  • I honestly didn’t really like it, I was always getting dropped at either edge of map or same spot every time

This sentiment is fair and I think even the people who defend dropzones feel this way as well, including myself.

What you're stating is a big con for the dropzone setup. I'm not sure what can be done to randomize drops more. While this was a big con for Ranked I think the dropship setup has way more cons.

Dropzones make it easier to grind Ranked. There's more predictability to start the match. Personally, I prefer this type of BR experience. I was able to grind to Diamond last season without ratting. Dropzones force you to play with your teammates to "rank up". The Play with Squad feature helped me a lot. Almost everytime my team won we all requeued together for at least a match or two, with no mics. Linking up with randoms using the dropship setup is much harder because of the lack of structure. It's hard to link up with other players if we're hot dropping/solo dropping, dying, and requeuing solo again (rinse, wash, repeat). The dropzone setup helps to build some morale, confidence, and momentum. Players are more adamant to play another match because some sort of chemistry was built.

Furthermore, I felt as if I was landing in the same POIs a lot, but what I started to figure out is that I'm familiar with every POI on every map because of repetition. I can't say with confidence that my drops were not randomized enough. Overall, dropzones kept me more engaged.

The big elephant in the room is being dropped at mid-tier/no name POIs; in between enemy teams. These situations didn't bother me, I embraced them. I enjoyed getting mid-tier POIs, grabbing weapons ASAP and pushing the team with the better POI. Players have said that dropzones force a one dimensional style of gameplay and that's a complete lie. Dropzones promote strategy throughout the match.

Lastly, mid-tier/no name POIs deserved a bigger loot pool and more loot bins. I'm curious to know if the loot pool for these areas are the same as the ALGS. The name of these areas need to be shown on the in-game maps as well.
