Solved

Please use your main twitter account

This thread isn’t about smurfing but this is for the devs. I’m once again asking for you guys to use your official Respawn twitter account when updating the current problems in the game. I’m lucky enough to play in servers where there are almost no xbox players that can ddos the whole lobby. I can see that this might be frustrating for many. Not to mention other bugs like the Loba bracelet, voice chat problems and etc. For two weeks now, we don’t have an update if it’s being worked on.

Acknowledgement of the problem and updating the players is as important as tweeting that it has been fixed already. As a guy whose day job revolves around “fixing” or treating patients, even though you can’t give an immediate solution, it’s important to give an update that you’re looking into it or a possible timetable on when to expect a fix. Yes I know some of the devs already talked about the patch this week but do the casual players really need to follow 5+ different devs? And when we do get an update from the official account,  of course it’s about the store. I know these are hardworking devs but please use one account, the official Respawn account.

Do people really need to follow all the devs for these updates?

Lastly, their Trello account isn’t updated anymore and the last update was on April 8.

  • @Cheese9Man I follow only the 1 account, and it gives me all the info I need and more - @Cheese9Man 😃

But you are right, it's unprofessional the way its managed at the moment. Fortnite updates their trello all the time and their news covers the rest. It's really not that difficult to do.

Ddos, footsteps, could do it under seperate headings even.....

Forgot to mention that a lot of the other devs stopped talking to the community because EA fired a dev for “communicating too much” on twitter. For obvious reasons I can’t name the dev.

@Cheese9Man Dev teams are in a tough spot. They try and communicate things but get ripped if do too much or say things that never come to be. But then if they say nothing or change direction they get ripped for that too. It's a fine line and takes skill to stay on that line.
  • @hayhor that's why a central response unit is needed. Devs feed info to one who knows best, then one who knows best tweets appropriate tweets or the suchlike.

    Professionals communicate professionally, not personally.
