Recently I was starting to look at apexs ranked and it was just really confusing, after watching some videos on it I understand it. So do you guys think anyone could become a predator? Or do you need a special gift or certain genetics?! My good friends older brother is a pred but he's so busy we don't really see him, so what I'm really asking is, is predator possible without giving away your life?
Having hit masters I would say yes, you must me a sweat master, giving up your life or having Apex be your life, considering especially the extra penalty instituted at Diamond.
Respawn, and most ranked systems, reward skill some, but amount of time you log in most.
On MnK it’s unrealistic for a new player. You’d need 5,000 hours before you’d climb. If you start on controller it’s very realistic goal with no experience. Play bloodhound to remove the need for situational awareness skill gap. Learn to use the scans to support the more experienced controller players on your team. Don’t waste scans. Carry ult excels. You could realistically be a pred in 300 to 400 hours. Shoot for masters your first season. Find two masters who want to meet up 2-3 hours a day a few days a week. And your second season you won’t have any issues getting there.
You need a controller with stick drift and play 4-3 rotational aim assist. This stick drift always keeps the aim assist active and micro aims for you on ranged enemies. Just learn to mirror strafe enemies.
I have to agree with @hayhor here.
You def need skills. If you can make plat1 or D4 on your own (soloQ) you should be able to make master or Pred if you 3stack with players of like skill.
To make Pred and maintain it you will have to have a dedicated 3stack.
The time investment to make Pred is no small matter and in order to maintain the rank you would have to keep investing time.
The time investment in ranked play is what keeps a lot of players in Gold to Diamond because they have real lives and cannot make the time dedication even though they may have the skill.
This is my problem as well, I just do not have that amount of free time to invest in that huge grind, so when I do decide to dedicate to ranked play I usually end up in Gold /Plat.
The choice of input device has almost no effect on the grind to pred. Time to play, good teammates, and skill are the biggest factors.
Watching the latest news you need a good one CHEAT (reported to the ban of first 3 top pro's), you definitely have to have good companions however some tricks help you too hard...but you need a big quantity of luck!
it's very possible if you have decent aim, and some movement skills and the most important thing is that you need two teammates with the same skill level.
and time .... a lot of free time.
you should not carry anyone, and your teammates should not carry you, if the balance is not there then it will never happen.
one more thing, predators play on a very different level from the rest of us, movement is different, the aim is different, and their view of the playing field is different. ( of course, i mean the legit preds not the imposters who got with cheating )
and yes some people are as they say ( built different) but that is rare, the rest you get with practice, not the normal practice but practicing and playing for a long time with one of them sure will change your view of things.
one thing I noticed is that there should be a squad leader who calls the shots, where to move, and where to focus gunfire.
last season I and my friend won 11 or 12 matches out of 15 in one session in gold-plat lobbies just because we left the lead in his hands and I was only doing my part as support.
so having a squad leader who has experience and good judgment is like day and night.
