Just like the next gen update, we get a big announcement and have high hopes, only to get betrayed again. A 30 player requirement is too high. I don’t have 30 friends, and even if I did, it would make the match feel no different from any other. Why can’t I just all around the map, or arrange a 1v1v1v1?! R5 reloaded is now completely superior to main apex in every way. Private matches are a big flop as far as I’m concerned. Also why a full 6 requirement for arenas? It’s half of the full for battle royale?! I have 4 main friends, why can’t arenas be a smaller group? This feels like a repeat of every other big feature they’ve released. Over hype, under deliver. Also what’s with all the bugs?! A lot in this new update, and the Xbox in game chat bug that’s been around for two seasons now. Please fix this and also reduce the player requirements for private matches, otherwise what’s the point of it.

I'm guessing the number limits are to reduce the number of private games to reduce server load.

If Other games can do it why not Apex?Also Arenas is small enough that the 6 player requirement should be drooped to two players.Some good old 1v1 or 2v2 or 2v1 or 3v2 or even 3v3 formats would then be possible and fun.For most people the BR 30 requirement is just not workable.Content creators, have more than enough friends or fans to get a match going. Orgs can do this easily as well.And they have been doing this before with Admin codes.Now we all can do this but that is a very tall order for most individuals.This should have been announced as Tournament matches and not private because well private has a fully different connotation. I was looking forward to this but now I am just a bit sad about the implementation.

@Asmodeus566 Agreed. They even went beyond in Overwatch where you can create community made LTMs using the existing maps. My friends and I love the “The floor is lava race” community made mode. Imagine all 5 of you would have to race from one side of skyhook/fragment as Pathfinders but if you touch the ground, you die and have to go back from the start.Even as simple as controlling the weapons should be a thing in Apex private matches like all shotguns and snipers, melee only, etc. They only have the ALGS mode or the regulae mode.At least we know that Control is coming to the private matches but I’m still against the minimum number of players.If they’re too concerned about server bandwidth, then let me host my games just like the firing range in overwatch.

Agreed. This is a disappointing update, to not even speak of the server issues. I saw your other thread about trying to start a private match and I'll keep checking back to see if you're up and running and try to join.

@reconzero Tryouts by again rn, but I still can’t get into the lobby even, I’m using Iowa servers as a last resort, seems to be working so far…

@BigMacAttack8u I never expected it to be a 1 or 2 player private match, why did you? It makes no sense to have a BR game for so little players.
Maybe change your expectations next time?

The thing is very good... it is made for a match not to play around like you expected... so it's normal you don't have 30 friends but you can join a Fb group or discord and you will be able to have fun private matches with those people of your age group.

I hear you man.
Would like it if private matches would have different player count requirement as well as the ability to set up the lobby like an LTM, by controlling the load outs like players only having the P2020 and a EVA, or something like armed and dangerous, bows and mozams only the possibilities are endless in that regard.
Control is still broke, played a few matches yesterday and more often than not the teams were unbalanced 8v9 and did not get filled.
Currently I would pass on community made stuff, EA/Respawn need to fix what's broke and make private matches better before taking on more things.

this update brought nothing but trouble..
get kicked from lobby for no reason, spend ages to relog, spend 3 minutes leaving the match when your squad is wiped. and then 30 peeps for a private match??? total Bull ...

on a good evening i have 5 friends online since all others have dropped the game over the last period...
