@Lord_Scorpion34 They should have cost more to start with. They left A LOT of revenue on the table by letting the scalpers take the rest of the margin. You still can't just go buy one.
@hayhorI disagree. That's almost like saying toilet paper manufacturers should've jacked their prices up cuz of scalpers during 2020 lol. Sony has made & is making enough money. Especially considering all the features it doesn't have compared to the PS3, I think it was priced right. I'm sure a higher spec version (hopefully with a lot more base storage) will emerge in a few years that can command more money.

@hayhor Didn't you see MF's hoarding toilet paper because they thought the world was going to come to an end at the start of covid?
Apperently toilet paper was more valuable to these people than other non essentials such as y'know....food.
- @hayhor Hey when i was told it would cost me 700 out the door for one I thought that was already insanely high for a console that just breaks in a few years. PC master race lasts for 5-12 years with ease. =)
@E9ine_ACWhich PC lasts for 12 years, if you want it to run the newest games, without spending 1000's of euros on constant upgrading every component? Mine didn't even last 3 years before just starting Windows took 2-5 minutes. And if there's some silly update (and there usually is)... well, I've learnt to turn it on 25-30 minutes in advance.

Only console that I own that didn’t last in its console generation was my original PS3 that got the yellow light of death. PS3 slim still works though.@Cheese9ManThe only console I ever had to replace was my original PSone. It was the first version, where the overpaid designers had put the power supply or whatever too close to the GPU, which caused it to overheat over time. Other than that... still have a working ColecoVision.
