Not wrong, but they won't stop making skins. I'm shocked they haven't made more skins by now since most of them are just recolors- but the timing is questionable with all these present issues.
To answer your question- to show your skin to your teammates/friends/opponents in the match and have a new skin. But what you mentioned is the reason why I usually prefer a nice new gun skin.

You don't really look at your own clothes in real life either, though. Well, perhaps some do. They're possibly the same ones who like customising their characters. 🤔
- 6 years ago@warslag, I totally look at my clothes while I wear them but don't really care for character skins.
@tonycawley69, basically to show off to teammates, friends and enemies or to get an advantage/disadvantage in the game
