@deezuglynutz I’d pick the volt over the r99 any day , it’s better in almost every respect - and I wouldn’t say that it’s op in anyway. The mastiff is essentially the only gun in the game to be “scared of” in Cqc right now as it can 2 shot you if they’ve got good aim , but hey it’s a shotgun .

@MassiveVernon I think a lot of players pick it up if they can't find a bolt for a mastiff or Volt and enough ammo for it. I frequently find a volt and only 39 rounds for it. Not enough to use the gun..
The volt does not have higher dps. And no the R-99 has no recoil. If you think it does you're in low elo SBMM and I'm sure the spitfire is the best gun for you.

Let me rephrase the issue. The volt is pretty much on par with the R-99 but that's the problem. The R9, volt and mastiff are too much better than the other weapons. They have almost as much range as ARs, but with movement, ARs don't have. I'll also agree the mastiff wins against anything up close... The problem isn't so much as the R-99 is the best overall gun in the game, it's that it's been that way from the beginning. It would be nice to actually see it as not the meta for once.
