R99 needs a nerf
R99 needs more of a nerf. Still the go to weapon for every person. It's boring playing the game and having the r99 be the only real viable weapon. Alao the heck is up with how accurate hip fire is ...
@matzesingt Its not as easy to just compare the damage. Why you will never lose a fight with R99 v's Flatline is for two main reasons, the recoil is harder to control on FL + the movement speed in ADS is slower than that of R99. You are basically a sitting duck with FL - if we both ADS each other, I will hit you in the head a hell of alot easier than you will me. Same case with r301 (ADS have terrible movement, and if you do try to ADS v's R99 you will die in a matter of seconds). That is why R99 outshines them by a lot, you still have very good recoil control + crazy damage + very good movement in ADS + and devastating hip fire.
These are the reasons as to why most people run R99 with a wingman, not because other famous people use them, people actually use their own brains - analyse and use what ever the meta is.
Mastiff is honestly only really good close up, it is not at all like the PK - that was efficient at also medium range.
If they want r301 to be an actual contender, they need to revert some of the nerfs. Also removing PK-Devotion as being care package weapons, and people might start using something else than a R99.
They also need to add more weapons with a fast ADS movement such like the R99.
Not sure why you are talking about recoil macros, recoil in this game is insanely easy to control - the only two weapons that are a struggle as far as recoil goes is Havok / FL in this game. The problem before was that with all the muzzle flash combined (meaning you could barley see what you shot at, made it soo much worst - currently that is not an issue, other than on L-star).
Also Shroud hasn't played this game since season 2-3, not sure why his opinion is worth mentioning here? We are talking about current season - I hope.
Ok first of all i play flatline most of the time and i also win alot of fights vs r99, so saying you wont lose with a r99 vs a flatline is simply not true.
Secondly the recoil of a flatline is not as bad as many people try to make it look like. While yes you are right the ads movement of a r99 is faster then 301 and flatline, but it doesnt effect Slidespeed at all... If you lose a fight vs r99 cuz of that 36% movementspeed difference in ads then practising tracking might solve that issue allrdy, You dont stand infront of each other that often to exchange full clips.
And if you do and the r99 guy wont oneclip wich is actually most of the time not happening since even the best dont do consistently. Then the Reloadtime will mostlikely break your neck since its like 1.8sec tactical and 2.4sec full reload. That will be enough for every competent enemy to finish you off with the rest of their clip, without extended mags the advantage shifts probably more into favor of Flatline and r301, And yes they will unload their whole clip untill you are done reloading
Im not saying they are better than r99 but they are sure as hell competetors
In the end Personal Preferance matters, and you can make them work without any problems if you want, in the case of Flatline it comes with more practise and co,but still
if you are used to it you can easy challange r99 players close range and easily on high range ofc
Shroud played in s5 aswell btw and he also said that recently and not in season 2 or something like that
