Random 3rd Joins Minutes After Game Start?

@Lord_Scorpion34 Did they drop to your location or just some random place? I know when people drop solo it can seem like you're on your own until you hit the ground and look for them on the map.
It also might have been some kid playing on their parents or siblings account. I have run into that. One of the people I game with has a 4 year old that likes to game with his dad. Every few rounds he'll run a match with us. He's actually not half bad for being 4! He'll also occasionally grab the controller when his dad takes a break and start up a match.

@DarthValtrex They literally appeared out of nowhere! No drop. Nothin! Just BAM! There's a Revenant! I'll upload the video tomorrow & post the link so you can see what I mean.

From my own games it seems something was loosened with adding a 3rd teammate, and I remember 2 games where I was sure we'd be dropping with a shortmanned squad, but a 3rd was added just before we dropped.
However this sounds like an extreme/potentially bugged version of this happening, and definitely something to look into.- @EA_David Before dropping someone can still join. Have had this happen a couple of times.
A person can still join until the moment your in the dropship right after the champion squad is announced. Any later than that is suspicious.Yeah, the latest I've ever seen a player join is whilst in the dropship...never anything after that. This is pretty weird. O.o
- @EA_David Might be related to an older bug, where the 3rd teammate was not visible in the legend selection screen.
I've also had a weird selection screen yesterday where I was alone at start but, by the time the bar reached the 3rd box a new teammate appeared there, followed by another one showing up in the second box in the last second.
