Ranked and state of the game

Can I please for the love of the everloving God get demoted from platinum already??????

I have been stuck at this for 3 weeks and I can't get away from 480 points, under or above it. My squad keeps getting killed at the first engagement every single game. It's not fun. There's no "similar skill" balance either. It's filled with tryhards. And whenever I lose I keep getting this stupid tier demotion protection. Even if I leave the match and get the penalty! I'm not trying to get demoted on purpose. But Apex is so broken and the mechanics can be so abused that I can't be in Plat, but I can't get demoted and put into the correct rank either. So even if I try on purpose I can't do it
And the matchmaking itself is broken. I get matched with 2 bronze IV players against a squad of plat IIs who have 10k kills each and has this cheap, annoying, tryhardy playstyle

And what is the point of ranks if I can't get demoted and put into the rank of my similar skill? It's basically just normal Apex, but with fancy numbers
And normal isn't worth playing either because no one even tries in the slightest when you play with randoms, except the dudes who are diamnod rank in ranked, or Apex predator. They do try. But they always have a squad of their own, so yeah

Not to mention the rank progression is completely broken as well, because you can literally get carried to Gold without doing a single thing. And in gold, you get one kill and place top 10 to make progress. Such a pointless progression.

The game itself is broken too. Hits don't register. I even saw my bullets going THROUGH the enemies without dealing any damage. I just see the bullet trail continuing past the character like they are not even there. shotguns are also still useless, at least for me. I hit someone point blank with a peacekeeper with a level 3 bolt equipped, and it does 8 damage. I hit an enemy with a fully charged peacekeeper shot, it does 80 damage. I hit someone with Mastiff from 5 meters away, it does 11 damage... But whenever I go against shotguns, or when I watch people play, They snipe with the peacekeeper with no bolt upgrade and do 60 damage or so. Not to mention sniping with Mastiff shotgun. So I don't understand that. 
I get one hit by weapons that shouldn't one hit
I get shot by an alternator with a disruptor and I go down from full HP and full blue shields to 0 HP... In two shots????

Not to mention the amount of hackers is incredible. Every third game in average I just get laser beam'd with r99 from a long distance. they have no spread, they have no recoil. I just see the beam of bullets and they all hit me and I die

But my biggest issue are ranks... Just what's the point of them exactly? It doesn't match your skill AT ALL

I already uninstalled this game. But as soon as I uninstalled it there was an update for solos. So I re-installed it the next day. I still needed to force myself to get back into the game from how anti-fun it is. I played it today first time after I re-installed it and it wasn't worth it at all.
Not to mention Solo's are a waste of time as well. It's not ranked, so people with 20 thousand kills join against you. Combine that with the broken gunplay and you get a mess. Also the legends are not for solos. the abilities can be abused, and some legends are completely useless in Solo mode. And I was looking forward to it, but I was hoping the abilities would be removed or rebalanced. So you can't just zipline with the pathfinder on a high wall so no one else can touch you while you can kill everyone, or just use wraith and go invisible 

And I'm not even gonna mention about the event monetisation itself

So, to conclude, game is broken. It wasn't worth re-installing it and wasting time with that. And to think I actually wanted to spend money on the game to buy a season pass. I'd rather invest that money into Fortnite. And I despise Fortnite and I never played it

    @F0XYB0IARBLE i can't even play ranked with such a long queue, and i'm still at gold. 5 minutes queue to play one ranked game with randoms and instantly killed on hot drop. Not worth the time. Even solo took 2-3 minutes for me now.

    And that's probably why people left this game again.

    @bosourd  that's really weird that it's taking you so long to initiate a game, ranked aside as i don't play it, i tend to get into them quickly. 

    I would've thought there would be a lot if people gold ranked too so it shouldn't be down to a lack of players.

    I expected the long queues to happen, especially with another mode that splits the playerbase even further. I think all the hardcore players are in the limited time solo, I encounter many 5k to 16k+ kills enemies there, while the unranked team mode seems to have significantly more low level players than before the event.

    Hey F0XY,

    Let me help you find yourself in this cruel world of competitive FPS gameplay:

    1. Ranked - yes it is hard and it was actually meant to be that way. Does it need some reworking - yes, it definitely does. Remember this is the first season of Ranked implemented and the developers are learning from our feedback (constructive preferably).

    2. Game is definitely NOT broken - it is actually the best Battle Royale out there. If you expect other games to be better and with less bugs - well, good luck with that.

    3. Hackers - each game has them and as much players there are as much hackers there would be as they are percentage of the overall game population.

    4. Solo is actually awesome. For me it is a refreshing new feature and it should be kept. Each legend has its own advantages over the others and they are quite well suited for Solo as well as Team play.

    5. I also do not like many things which are or are happening, but when I do so I express my concerns here in the forum with as much constructive feedback as possible.

    I just wanted to add my experience here. Your ranked system needs alot of work. I got in there, my team mates dont care. I respawning them and then eventually I die. They grab my banner, loot my box, take all my stuff and never respawn me. So I reported them for unsportsmanlike game play or whatever and I message them and say they should play as a team cuz they are making ranked definitely not fun to play, literally lowering my rank cuz they dont want to play as a team. But me reporting them did nothing. I got banned from messagimg anyone for 1 day, no big deal, I dont understand why, I wasn't rude or inappropriate about anything I said. So trust me, I won't be playing ranked anymore. Its not like I could have quit after I realized they weren't gonna bring me back, even tho they had all the opportunity too, and they looted my box, I couldn't even quit without getting penalized. The ranked system is broken and alot should be done to make it playable. If they blatantly won't revive a teammate, won't respawn them at a beacon, and they loot their box and just keep playing like nothing happened, they should be penalized for that as well. I know it isn't Apex Legends fault that I got banned and I'm not blaming you. But when I play ranked, I always try to benefit the team, reviving, respawning as much as I can. I hardly see that in ranked. People play for themselves and its ridiculous that I should even get penalized for leaving a game that my own teammates won't let me play in. Im sorry for the rant but honestly I feel better. I love your game tho, best shooter since halo 2 and 3. Keep up the good work guys!
