@EdwardDLuffy having read a lot of what @DoYaSeeMe has posted, it's all a very complex issue. I'm guessing 6 times as complex as Paladins (not familier with the game). Perhaps not so with arenas, but still based on the same apex game software.
Would not take much for Respawn to add the same, if only for ranked arenas.
I was the 1 v 3 last night. I did not last long.

- 4 years ago@pandareno1999 I think you can leave as soon as you want. I use it for a bit of 1 v 3 practise, as long as it's a map I like (so, no Oasis).
Had one yesterday where the enemy BH just kept popping out of the phase runner and standing there.

@EdwardDLuffy how much it would take to change would be an ecumminical matter, 😃 that would require @DoYaSeeMe to answer from an informed point of view.

Most other games have different server models. Some use dedicated servers and do the matchmaking on the same machine, therefore not requiring a new connection for the match. Apex is using a hybrid cloud tech, which mixes dedicated servers with clouds, a pretty modern solution that has a lot of benefits but which does not bring the best possible experience for the players. It would be very complicated to switch to a different model at this point and probably not worth it, as there could be serious disadvantages being brought to Apex by other solutions (e.g. the ability to scale seamlessly to millions of players, the resilience offered by the clouds, the costs,etc.).
Haven't played ranked arenas, but I agree that there are way too many missing / disconnecting teammates in casual. I think Respawn needs to make something like a pre-match skirmish until everyone is connected or disconnect the players after 2 minutes, if they're still not enough or not even (3v3, 2v2, maybe even 1v1). The biggest issue with this would be the increase in server usage (for example, if the average match duration is 10 minutes, adding a 2 minute skirmish would mean a 20% increase). This could mean significantly higher costs.
