@OldTreeCreeper They've made it 'complex'. With Paladins (and many other BR/BA games) all players have to indicate that they are 'ready' once their legend/hero has been selected. They have 30 seconds to do this. If all ten players do not click the 'ready' button, then the game does not start.
Would not take much for Respawn to add the same, if only for ranked arenas.

@EdwardDLuffy how much it would take to change would be an ecumminical matter, 😃 that would require @DoYaSeeMe to answer from an informed point of view.
