Basically plats gets matched with anything as low as bronze... diamonds get matched with diamonds and anything above diamond.. and absolutely no thought was put into the ranked system whatsoever.
i'm really wondering if it wasn't a trainee who designed the ranked mode, do we know why they refuse to fix it, at least?
I watched this season 4 video that Apex put out there was 5 or so minutes dedicated to the ranked changes and this guy is dribbling for about 5 minutes about what's new with ranked this season.. I play this new season and the ranked system is almost exactly the same, same annoying issues, they just added a new tier between predator/diamond for some reason top 500 predators change and everyone got put into gold including predators/diamonds/plats to start with instead of bronze this season. All them changes made no sense, why are predators in lower ranked tiers, the start of the season was terrible because of this and it didn't even resolve the issue it was setting out to resolve.
