Re-45 Opinions?

So i've always had a love for this weapon. Compact, crazy fire rate  and a surprisingly impressive bit of stopping power.

Since the last 2 buffs (disruptor hop+mag increase) though this thing has become insane for any CQC. I've actually stopped picking up the r99 for it.

Just wondering what the communities thoughts are on this gun as it currently stands.

Would you nerf it,would you improve it?

  • @Tamyndris  the knowledge just comes with experience we deserve no kudo's for it lol.

As for your actual question there are no physical benefits as such its more a matter of weapons that accompany a legends play style well+combined with your own play style.

E.g weapons that are superior for CQC scenarios work well with legends that like to get up close and personal.

I tend to use mainly the re-45/r99 when im playing wraith as i tend to go for a more guerilla warfare style of play. Bangalore is an all rounder so she's pretty versatile weaponwise, it just comes down to how you utilise her abilities.

Shotguns/snipers i tend to run with pathfinder as his abilities allow you to either distance yourself or close down the distance between you and an enemy quickly.

I won't give you any more examples but i hope this clarifies a bit.(PS people will probably rush to disagree with the examples but i'm just explaining how i play them so i don't care. XD)

@Tamyndris Like @MandatoryIDtag said, some characters work well with certain guns. That’s why in the banners you see characters with a specific weapon. Look at Fat Guy... I mean Gibraltar. He’s the only one who cocks the PeaceKeeper like a badass frankly...

Just lore stuff frankly but for up close characters (Wraith: RE45, Mirage: Wingman, Caustic: Peacekeeper) the guns are sort of self explanatory. Bangalore isn’t a creeper and that’s why you see her with the G7.
  • For me RE-45 is still on par with P2020 and Mozambique.. They all got buffs but still not enough for the mid-end game..

  • @SpyrosFPS  haha yup, it sure as hell punishes inaccuracy.  2 seconds and your clips empty and you end up doing the reload dance while your enemy fills you with holes.

Probably where a lot of people go wrong with this weapon. XD

I see. Thanks for the input, you two.

Usually, I am happy when equipped with a sniper rifle and a shotgun, because then I am ready for close combats and ones at a distance, I feel. Also, as I am bad with holding aim during a volley, so I feel more effective in the single shot world. But, very often I am thus at the losing end of the shootout, when a well aimed RPG is superior to one or two shotgun hits in the same period of time.

Thus, nowadays I stick with what I find. Recently, I won a fight by hip-shooting from my G7 at very close range. A welcome surprise at that moment.
