Pretty sure the dev doesn't have a favorite sniper weapon. They hate them all, though yes, especially the charge rifle. A few hard stuck platinum scrubs complained that it was too easy to use and now it's completely unusable by anyone at any skill level. I'd love for Respawn to give us its use rate before the nerf and after. I don't think I've even heard one fired in the last five seasons.
In general I was surprised to see them introduce Vantage into the game and new sniper meta with it. Not that it amounted to much in the end, and I'm sure that was intentional. The dev, and most of the player base as well, like their close-quarters gunplay and seem to regard any bullet fired over a range of more than 10 meters to be unsportsmanlike.
