I liked the system when I played Arena of Valor. Every had 100 'honour points' and at the end of the game you could down-vote someone if they did something trash. If someone downvoted you you lost a hp and if more than one then you lost five points (I think ... it's been a while).
If you dropped below 90 it was a short ban, 80 longer ban and so on. After your ban you regained 1 hp per minute not actually playing, so if you started again on 91 and lost five points you'd be down to 86.
Of course, you got downvoted for all kinds of stuff, such as playing badly or not fighting with the squad and so on, but it seemed to work okay,
- @Daze623 At no point did I say doing it was “ok”. I simply stated that everyone does. Every single
Player has quit for one reason or another. It sucks when it happens. There are legit reasons for leaving and of course, many reasons that aren’t legit as well.
Putting this “penalty” into a pub is a terrible idea especially when you’ve already butchered the solo experience with SBMM and so on. - @fg1985bg Terrible idea because of SBMM? So you think having no teammate + SBMM is better? lol
Also those legit reasons wouldn't really be that affected by a leaver penalty.
Emergency? You should deal with it by the time you come back leaver penalty would be over or almost over.
Bad internet/Bad server? Give players grace period to check their connection to the server if it's bad they can quit without repercussions. - @EdwardDLuffy No way that would work. People will downvote others for stupid things.
- @hayhor Yeh I know, and they did 🙂 AoV has five-man squads though, and you could up-vote peeps too.
Weirdly, I used to play that game for hours but now I can barely remember a thing about it, except for the LoL comparisons.
