@d3adc3IIEhm, white armor gives ENORMOUS advantage in this mode. 2 headshots instead of 1 with longbow, 2 shots from PK instead of 1. 3 shots of moz instead of 1... In most cases it's 100% increase in survivability. It's almost impossible to win an unarmored vs armored 1x1 in this mode (it's pretty much the same as no armor vs purple armor in normal mode).
The only weapon that almost feels no difference is the scout - 4 shots vs no armor or 5 shots vs armored. But that just means that scout is relatively bad vs unarmored in general (because you always need an extra shot for just 10 damage).
The fact that it's almost impossible to have enough shield cells (usually none at all - just happily running with a broken armor for half the game...) to last to the end makes this mode extremely inconsistent and the best and pretty much only strategy to win is loot all game for armors and maybe a couple shield cells and then avoid any fights at any cost - then you will have armors for the final fight and the opponents will have almost no chance to win if they participated in any fights (since they most likely won't have any shields).
I'm a fan of scarce loot, but some types of loot simply can't be too scarce. Rare armor is great - you can fights others for it; super rare shield cells - not so much, since killing others won't net you profit on those.
With abundant shield cells this could have been a fun sniper-fest (since then you could actually trade a lot of shots).
