this thread cracks me up, the OP and people agreeing with him must be VERY bad at tracking and aiming. here is some simple math for you: a stock R-301 magazine (18 rounds) will do 252 damage to the body only if you land every round. that means you can "one clip" anyone in the game, regardless of their armor, without hitting ANY headshots, with the most basic assault rifle with no magazine size upgrade.
a stock spitfire magazine (35 rounds) does 700 damage.
a stock flatline does 320 damage.
the prowler does 70 damage per 5 round burst, 3 well aimed bursts will down anyone in the game.
and the new Havoc? it does 420 damage in a 25 round magazine. keep mind these are BODY SHOT damage figures.
the most anyone can have in this game is 200 total damage resistance (100 shields, 100 HP) before being downed, then another 100 HP to be killed once you're downed. so, at worst, it's 300 damage required to outright kill someone, but 200 is all you need to remove them from the fight. A LOT of the guns in this game are capable of doing more than enough damage in a single magazine to down someone. you can technically down an entire squad with just 6 rounds from the Peacekeeper without reloading once.
the idea that anyone out there is whining about needing 4 magazines to kill anything is absolutely sad and it says a lot about your aiming and tracking skills as a gamer. if you want the kind of easymode low skill game where things die in 2 bullets and you get guaranteed frags for simply shooting first (as opposed to actually aiming and tracking targets), then leave Apex Legends and go back to R6 Siege which requires almost zero mechanical aiming/tracking skills because everything dies so fast. if camping (sorry "holding angles tactically") is the way you need to play shooters to get kills then there are tons of those boring shooters for you to play. PUBG is perfect for you, you already have your campfest battle royale that doesn't require much mechanical skill.
end of the day: it takes way more skill to keep shots on target and track enemies than it does to shoot them one or two times and win. the idea that anyone complains about this is a mirror of their insecurity about their lack of aiming skill. i down people VERY fast in this game and i almost never need a reload to deal with a 1v1 situation.
