Rampant teaming, Hide and seek till last ring, total RNG game mode.
Been there done that and no thanks for a permanent mode.
For an LTM that might be OK.

None of this is untrue. But I feel like Respawn could easily have re-worked the mode to minimize these problems, if not get rid of them entirely. Or, and here's a thought, embrace the idea of teaming. Turn it into a game mechanic. Just spit-balling here. And if they really cared about hide and seek to the last ring then why do we have the current ranked rules?
No, I have to say that their rationale for discontinuation felt like one of two things: either they didn't have the resources at the time to engineer a solo game mode that was playable, or, more likely, they were doubling down on TEAM-BASED-EVERYTHING because that seems to be what developers do with their shooters these days. Probably drives player engagement and retention or some such. And as much as I'd love to argue with the bottom line, money is money.
That only makes sense if you are playing as a solo player.
What about players that only play with a full team.
Looks like picking the psychology that fits your view or picking a view that fits your psychology.
I will say it once again S2 solo play was not good. Solo play now would not be good.

However the whole solo play experience that we had in the past was not good and I do not think it would change if it was added now.

Exactly, having one additional solo mode would be a good idea. It would be a great way to be able to go practice your skills. The main reason I only do no fill duos now when my brother or friends are not online is I got sick and tired of listening to people telling me to go kill myself and that I'm garbage, and more than one person has told me these things and sworn at me, it happened at least a dozen times to me already in only two months. A solo mode would make it fair for everyone who wants to play alone. People who don't like it wouldn't have to play, and maybe they could offer some kind of incentive for people that play in groups since that's the preference of the developers.
