@BallisticMVP I just had an idea after reading this thread that might be able to put a stop to this type of cheating.

This will take some time, but what if they make the boxes legal, and even sponsor them where anyone can get one. Then, it will no longer be cheating and put everyone on an equal field.

However, at the same time, do this....

Release exclusive heirlooms, legendary skins, maybe even legends, that can only be unlocked without using the box. Make them free to earn through challenges like the Revenant Reborn challenge, but you can only get these heirlooms and legendary items through the challenge with no box.

You will then see countless YouTube and Twitch channels popup where the new fad will be to show proof of not using a box with each streaming session. This will literally become the new meta because people will want to show how good they are.

The boxes will then fall so far out of fashion that only beginners and the casual type that only play Saturday nights will even be using them anymore.

What do you guys think, does thus sound possible? I think the devs should consider this because maybe it would revolutionize the fps business and other companies may follow suit.

Like the old saying goes, you remove the keep off the grass sign and fewer people will trample the grass. 🙂

@BallisticMVP Oh, so this would still put controller players at a disadvantage. I guess even for a plan like that to work, controller and MnK should have separate lobbies. I suppose it should be that way right now even since both complain the other has an advantage. Also, with the boxes being used now the scenario you mentioned earlier is possible with MnK playing in console lobbies, and until they develop software that can detect that it will be difficult to control. I just can't imagine how they are even having fun having extra aim assist along with aimbot, zero recoil, rapid fire, etc. You would think they would get bored of this after awhile, winning every game without trying. The fun is in competition.

@AymCTL Nah, how about punishing them with up to 5 years in prison and a fine of 250.000 dollars. If you can make laws that carry that kind of punishment for copyright infringements, then you can certainly do it for video game cheating as well. It is literally that easy.

There is nothing to "detect", just remove support to all this stuff. Like the time when all the Xbox people came here and complained they could only play with the standard Xbox controller, all elite controllers and whatever nonsense didn't work. Or like when SONY just shut down cronus use on PS5 from one day to the next. It is also literally that easy.

@AymCTL It’s not an easy to deal with issue, you would have to motivate all console creators to forbid those devices, if just one does it for example Xbox, people will just move to ps etc.
On pc it even needs to be a software to stop it, and I assume eac will never figure that one out…
Sadly it’s so wide spread that there is also no real intention to solve the problem, there was a time where fortnight was able to detect it, and it didn’t even ban the users, it threw them off the game and told them to unplug it… that’s how bad it is that they don’t even wanna ban the people because it’s just to many.

Every shooter with controller aa is in the same boat and in a bad place… keep in mind pubg has literrly 3x the playerbase of apex on steam, that’s very telling, people just leave because they don’t wanna deal with this garbage

@BallisticMVP Yeah, I've been thinking about leaving this game too. I miss how it used to be and hope that someday they get it back to how it was before season 20.

I watched a YouTube video on the boxes and I know now the one shots I thought people were doing are actually the whole clip of the gun being emptied out during what would normally be one bullet using rapid fire and zero recoil. The movement if not from MnK is probably using the same rapid fire effect only mapping it to jumps. This is getting so bad that you have to shut the game off and come back later since you can't find a lobby without this.

For instance, tonight trios revival was completely unplayable since we were getting beamed from across the map, shot through walls, or people would jump on top of us from above and instantly down us with a "one shot." (Such as all 20 bullets from a flatline unloaded instantly)

I hope they get this out of the game soon and fix the problems.
