I had to give this one a lot of thought... and in the end I agree with you. I feel like this shield is there to make masters and preds feel cool.

Usually the higher end of players that have red shields are the masters and preds. Like they need an extra 25 shield to decimate all the lower level players forced into their lobbies.

Because people line up to play a competitive shooter in order to not fight??? I know ratting is a problem in ranked because of the ranked changes, but in pubs the entire population of the game drops hot as if fragment is filled with free hookers and blow and they want their fill. Can I say "hookers and blow" on the forums? Apologies, mods, if the answer is no.
At any rate, that just reads to me as if we need to encourage people to breath because if we don't then they might stop and die. @reconzeroWell many people avoid fighting especially in ranked. I think it’s fair that the people that actively risk dieing get an advantage in their future fights. They thin out the lobby for everyone, it’s a good thing that people actively chase every fight they can.
and no ratting is not just now an issue in the game it always was there just not to such an extreme. And it’s not even only about them, but also every team that sets up in a zonebuilding 2 min after drop… there should be a negative side to that playstyle, and one of the things is usually worse loot/armors

I feel like every play style has its own share of positives and negatives, and that it was sort of a self-leveling issue. Let people play the game whichever way they personally see fit. Does the game really need to encourage or discourage any particular form of play? Why is one way better or worse than the other... except to the short-of-attention-span player? A player for whom I have more than a few choice words.... @reconzeroOne way is better than the other for the whole lobby, objectively just how it is, sitting in a house and locking it down doesn’t do anything good for the lobby while actively chasing fights benefits everyone. Even the ones sitting in the house

All squads in final circle? Does that really seem like something that could happen no matter what behaviors are rewarded and/or penalized?That was ofc put to an extreme to prove a point. Just look at algs to what an extreme it sometimes gets.
i believe you shouldn’t be able to grab red armor from a lootbox, if person with red armor dies it should just rank down to purple again
