Re: Getting dropped before game starts

Whelp over the course of 3 days I've tried all the steps i can think of and of the link you sent me and it still continues to drop me.  Occasionally I get a server connection error but most times nada. I'm done fighting things. Giving up and just dealing with this. Fix the game and servers before pleasing these streamers about guns, legends nerfs/buffs.

    Hey @stayceexd

    Thanks for giving that a shot. I'm sorry to hear you're still having trouble with this. 

    Another thing that might help would be updating the DNS settings on your Xbox. I've seen cases where using a different DNS can help with issues like this. To update the DNS follow the steps below: 

    1. Go to your Xbox Settings and select Nework

    2. Go to Advanced Options

    3. Select DNS settings, then choose Manual

    4. Enter the Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 and the Secondary DNS as 8.8.4.4 (this is the public Google DNS, but if there's a different open DNS that you would rather use instead that would be fine).

  • Changed the DNS last night. Haven't played in a couple days. It let me play the first game and then 5 drops in a row. Reset my router again, played one game and then I couldn't get back in at all. The 5 drops in a row gave me code leaf error so at least I'm getting an error message now.

    I appreciate you giving that a shot. 

    Do you have access to a PC on the same network your Xbox is using? If so, could you run a UO Trace and send me the results? That will give us a detailed look at the connection between your device and the servers, so if there's something happening in between we may be able to spot it.
