Re: Hacking in Apex worse than PUBG

I never said anything about either EA or Respawn.

I am mentioning this is how there existing anti-cheat that is already in the game behaves.

We can study its effects once the first banwaves hit, if the game is then still overrun EA will have a lot of work to do.

If not, then what they did is sufficient.

So far i haven't seen people encounter hackers though it doesn't seem to be that wide spread to begin with.

There is a difference in believing in someone cheating and people actually cheating. Do you have any proof besides some people saying so? Because I'm sure quite a few of them are people just running into really good players. Happens in almost all competitive shooters.

And dont forget to add a whole Hardware Serials Ban so they can't create a new Account.

Let's use your over-complicated report system. Such a joke. There needs to be a in game report. Then if you get 20-30 reports in a few hours you get ban. But EA does not ban people they are afraid of loosing out of money. Fewer players=less money in their minds. EA does not care out players anymore.

You do realize that good people automatically get more reports than bad people? So you wanna ban good players? Most people have no idea what game mechanics and high skill make possible in this game.

I honestly do not believe there are hackers in this game. All of your deaths have a simple explanation. At first I thought I was being bamboozled by someone who I downed, got back up and killed me. That was until I realized there is a legendary knockdown shield that can ress yourself. I'm simply saying, there's an explanation for everything, or just sheer luck.

I got a win the other day doing this @SilentOsprey. I was down but had the shield so sulked off and quietly revived myself and then killed the other squad who were searching for the other Legend they believed was still alive.

I think its mostly mouse scripts for no recoil. Harder to detect than an aimbot i guess

This is an engine based on Source engine, we know how easy it is to hack this engine. There are many clear videos of hackers at this point so maybe you've changed your view since making this post a few weeks ago.

But yes if there as an in-game report system, people shouldn't be auto-banned for lots of reports in a short period, what we need is a CS:GO style "Overwatch" system where frequently reported players get reviewed by known good players who know what to look for.

The other thing this game needs is a phone-number linked "Prime" style matchmaking like CSGO has as well, and region restriction.

The phone number linked matchmaking shouldn't be hard for them to implement at least, I really hope they do.
