Re: How do some players have the Buster sword from jump?

@i-Norm There is this airship thing you can land on that has the sword laying in the middle of it, I haven't always seen it there so I think it's dependent on rng. One time my jumpmaster landed us on it and he grabbed the sword, then we finished our jump. This ship flies about the same level as those birds that you can shoot lootboxes down from, and if you time your jumps just right when diving you can land on the ship and take the sword, and have it when you land.

Yeah I dunno. We landed in the middle of nowhere. The Buster is usually showcased with a red light. There was none

There are two swords here as well, which may be accounting for some of the confusion.

The Buster Sword R2R5 is the sword that's looted in-game when playing the event mode. This is the one you can see in the red beams of light from drop, in care packages, etc.

This is also the only one that has the combat abilities.

The other sword is the similar Buster Sword R5, which is cosmetic only, obtained randomly through the event packs, and can be used on any character. If you're seeing people landing with a Buster Sword (not just landing ON one and looting it), it's this one.
