I can't find my friend in APEX Gifts

We became friends on steam and apex long time ago, and both are over lv10 and login vertifed. But it still cannot send gifts to each other. Why?

@EA_Illium If you're already friends on consoles for extensive time. Apex should then accept the ingame friend link instantaneously and not need a 2week wa8t as you have already been connected accounts that apex should be able to see - ***especially if you've already dropped into games with those friends IN APEX.***

I can't even see how to add a friend in apex who is already a friend. So weird.

Definitely the worst part of anniversary challenges or whatever its called. I didn't realize the stupid required wanted a "in game"  friend, only seen this offer pop up when somebody i'm playing with isn't on PlayStation, yet my actual playstation friends are voided -_-
