Re: Input based matchmaking and permanent xim bans

Didnt realise we where talking about forza.....oh hang on we are not. Now if you said playing an fps in vr counted as cheating, well thats up to the developers but tbh i would get behind that, sounds awsome. But comparing a mouse and keyboard "adapter" (and lets be clear we are talking about "adapters" not mouse and keyboard), to a steering wheel in another game is just not the same, yes its another input device but it doesnt give a significant advantage. Where as an adapter to use mouse and keyboard does. Mouse and keyboard should be alowed and in thier seperate severs in my opinion regardless of platform but thats not the major issue. Its the xim users that still choose to use the adapter to bypass seperation to get into controller lobbies to gain that advantage, and thats why it lays in the realm of cheating. And back to the steering wheel, im pritty sure you can take that and use it at a tournament but xim can not as one unfortunate rainbow six player discovered.

are you talking about that or gamer who got caught cheating in the middle of a tournament. that was some hilarious footage of. him batting away the refs hand. 

you can hope for controller only lobbies all you want. there hasn't been controller only lobbies for MORE THAN TEN YEARS NOW. don't get your hopes up its gonna happen anytime soon.

if you wanna keep making post about it. that's cool. it is the number one way to spread the word about a better way to play the game. people like salty tears. keep em coming

@LtHitlisIt is this attitude that will ruin console. Want M&K? Play PC. People who use M&K are trying to gain an advantage. As for the people who deny the hack issue on PS4 and XBox, they are probably ones who use it. Common answer, “I never see it”.....Maybe your in lobbies that are too low. The higher up you get the more you see it. Lots of Preds use M&K, hell I’ve even had Pred randoms tell me so and advise what I should buy. Most common I see rapid  fire and anti recoil.....Spectate, you can tell when they have slight screen jitter as the setting is too high.

This is an issue for all FPS games, not just Apex. I do have faith that EA / Respawn will do something. What will be unforgivable is if this exists on PS5!

The only thing they can and should do is allows native m&k then make separate lobbies. Sure people could still use Emulator and play in controller lobbies. But you'd want to play in native lobbies because you're getting that 1:1 m&k experience. Currently using a emulator on console there's input lag between the devices and users are not getting the same experience as they would on PC. 

So if they able native m&k with separate lobbies you'd plug directly into your console instead of an Emulator and get a better experience. 

@LtHitlisThe problem with your ‘choice’ is the macros that people can and do load. And as you said M&K is more accurate. I guess you need your crutch. You should be separated out from the main body of gamers, or put in with the PC Players. It is not whining, it’s fact that M&K has advantage over controllers. If it was the other way around you would be using a controller. So your motivation is to gain an edge. Cheating.

Eugh this argument still going on? And the xim users still trying to justify it?  Meh dont see the point, they know thier cheating theres no two ways about that. Comparing it to a wheel for a racing game is silly and already been mentioned and xim lost that argument, just skim through the first pages.

The issue isnt the argument wether its cheating or not as its already been acknowledged as is. The problem is what can they do? They have the ability to ban them on xbox but ps4 is alot harder as they dont have anything to detect plugged in devices.

So basicaly if they ban them on xbox they will flood ps4, and even if they manage to find a way to ban them on ps4 too theres the massive problem of the playerbase, xim is selling out constantly so that means that obviously the amount of users is going up significantly as with most things, if its a way to get a leg up on everyone and not get banned they will. Its not worth the time to discuss it, its cheating and thats fact, the developers know about it so message them and complain to do somthing. If not you could always join them lol its not like anything is being done to them.

That just isnt true though especially now. Using a steering wheel doesnt come with scripts relevant to each game and adjustments to make it easier. Of the xim was a straight converter fpr k/b &m fine but it isnt scripts that are specific to gun loadouts and games with the ability to make you better than you were without practice is cheating. Most fps games people have no recoil faster reload and aim assist that isnt just turn on and off you can adjust how aggressive you want the aim assist to be thats whats cheating about a xim apex
