@dSKyNafinchin It literally only works perfectly if you've spent a lot of money on the game.
The problem here is that they've essentially paywalled an in game currency, with no real meaningful way of using it for most of the playerbase. There has been countless creative solutions to this put forward by the playerbase over the past 2 or so years and the only real changes we've seen to this currency as challenge re-rolls and the currency itself being hidden.
If they're not going to make any substantial change to the system they could at least remove the paywall element of reskins and just substantially increase the cost of these skins in legend tokens.
Respawn make more than enough profit off their various cosmetic events...it really wouldn't hurt them to give a little something back, especially since we're at the point where some of these reskins are on their second cycling through the store.
Nothing is currently being purchased with Legend Tokens. My legend tokens are increasing day by day. How many legend tokens do you have?
@l_mRGogo Hardly any personally maybe 16k?Mainly due to the fact I used to be a whale thus I can frequently spend said tokens. Which I feel is why I can provide an extremely unbiased opinion on this topic hehe. 😛
- @MandatoryIDtag I get what you're saying, but I have only spent real currency on this game for the Voidwalker skin for Wraith, and the battle pass the first time (using coin rewards from each BP to purchase the next one), and my legend tokens work perfectly fine. I most definitely haven't spent a lot of money on the game, let alone much money at all lol. I don't recall a single instance where I wanted to unlock an applicable item in the store with tokens, and I got some sort of error saying my tokens don't work and I can't unlock it. The tokens work perfectly fine, its the system that's broken.
@MandatoryIDtag I'm at max level, battle pass is the same. I'm not changing quests because they're easy and the events give way too many stars. I don't need stars at max level. Currently, there is nothing in the store that I can buy with Legend tokens. All characters are unlocked and the game keeps giving me legend tokens. The situation will be the same for everyone who reaches the maximum level. There is so little we can spend Legend Tokens on.
I don't think that new players can buy anything with the legend token after unlocking all the characters.

- @dSKyNafinchin So you have spent almost the minimum possible on the game in 2.5 years and want the ability to get more stuff that would be free with the tokens? Keeping in mind that if you played from the start of the game the game gave you around 200 packs of stuff as well.
@dSKyNafinchin In a literal sense the tokens do work perfectly, as in there is no errors around there use, I'm not really disputing that lol.
I'm referencing the system itself which is far from perfect. 😛
@hayhor 200 packs over the course of 2.5 years isn't much though to be fair. Especially when you factor in the fact that the 30pack guarantee for a legendary item wasn't always in place.
The vast majority of 200 packs would be voice lines and common/rare skins lol....which let's face it...are mostly pretty damn ugly and clearly just designed as filler.

A silly example. Do they give you free gas? Is there no way you can go with gas? I really don't understand what you mean?
- @MandatoryIDtag The game is free to play. The game is fun and you get enjoyment for free. I dont get the gimme gimme gimme mentality is all. And you know I spend on the game and still dont worry about freebies.
- @MandatoryIDtag Lol yea, the system is massively imperfect! I'm more disputing some statements that the tokens "don't work", when they do work.
@hayhor Gimme all the free stuff!!!! But yea, while it would be dope if they made more stuff available to purchase with tokens, it's nothing I would demand from them, considering its a free currency earned on a free-to-play game. If I want a cool skin, I'll spend real money. I'm just cheap and don't, except for the Voidwalker, because I just love the way it looks. But heck yea, if they give more free stuff, gimme gimme gimme!! Heck, I'm still waiting on my first heirloom set lmao. It will probably still be a while though, considering I don't spend money on packs. I just collect them from the BP and whatnot. My buddy has several heirloom sets, because he paid hundreds of dollars, but I just choose not to spend my money that way. I would rather allocate my money elsewhere, where I can get a return on it - @dSKyNafinchin And not spending is your right and choice. And you can still enjoy the game just as much.

@hayhor Nah I get that, but I just find the whole system kinda disingenuous.
It wouldn't even have to be legendary skins etc....just y'know,s something lol.
- @hayhor Most definitely! Everyone is going to have their own preferences with spending. I have dropped a little cash on GTA online over the years, but as with Apex, that's my choice. I still enjoy both games greatly, even though my spending is drastically different on each game.
Can anything be bought with the legend token in the New Season? Does anyone knows ?
(I'm not talking about giving out thousands of tokens and buying only 2 things like in previous seasons. )
