Re: Official statement on map sizes

Doesn't look that much larger. King's canyon is 2x2, so maybe this one is about 2.5 x 3 km.

Just measure it if you have nothing to do: land above refinery, put a ping below dome (mark the distance to your ping) - that's roughly max height, go to the E edge near refinery, put a ping on the west edge - that's roughly the max playable width.

I think it's probably 3x3, but horizontal part has much of sides unplayable(so would roughly be 2x more playable area than king's canyon).

P.S. If that's the case, then World's edge is still smaller than PubG's "tiny" Sanhok 😉.

Well, I'd say that World's edge would still feel bigger than Sanhok, since it's much more compartmentalized (it's like 4 separate maps with a lot of additional tiny enclosed areas) and it's generally harder to find players. It's like Vikendi vs Erangel in PubG - Vikendi feels MUCH larger, even though it's almost 2 times smaller in area.

However, most of the height on World's edge is just an illusion - none of the mountains (1 exception) or tall skyscrapers are actually playable, most of them have only 2 playable stories. But the huge buildings still maintain the illusion that there's a lot of hidden area to play in. I'm sure it will "shrink" in size the more we learn which areas are playable and which are not.
