Re: One of my favourite wins

Almost had one last night that would have been a classic.

A BH was DM on WE and at the last moment spotted the train. He and a LL made it to the train but I missed. They were both knocked while I went looting where I landed. The BH quit but the LL got off the train. I had to take a jump tower and found the LL crawling towards me in the tunnel, so I revived her.

We made it to the final three. We had a 2 v 3 battle just as the ring was closing in. The LL took down one but got eliminated. I flanked and took care of the other two then ran to the refinery but had to go down to a white shield and had 50% health. I made it to the roof and saw a Wattson and Loba. I had a Sentinel with a infra-red scope and knocked the Wattson in one shot. The Loba started to revive her and I JUST missed my shot on her (argh!). The Loba abandoned the revive and the Wattson died in the ring.

I made it inside the refinery but still with a white shield and 50% health. It was round five by now. I kept watch on the only door that was available because of the ring. Sure enough the Loba opened the door and I threw thermite and a grenade at her but she slid through the thermite and took me down pretty easily ☹️

SO close, and from such a bad start ...

    @EdwardDLuffy This was my most recent "almost" and to be fair.. I killed the team that killed my octane squad mate.. Downed their wraith, thirsted him the blood hound grabbed the banner and respawned him. So I camped the death box.. When the wraith went back to get her stuff, I killed her again.. At this point I hear the blood hound ult go off knowing full well he's raging that I just killed his buddy 2 times. Then I lasered the blood hound. Proceeded to pick up a Kraber and ruin games for enemy squads from a distance.

    Also had an embarrassing win last night. I was insta-eliminated on a hot drop and my TMs picked up my banner but everywhere they went they seemed to run into enemy squads. Thankfully, there were good. By the time I was respawned the only thing I could find was a P2020. It was already down to 2 squads - we found the enemy squad in a hut (this was KC) so I went in the back as my TMs took the front. One was knocked but I somehow managed to knock an Octane (I am trash with pistols) then knocked a Loba but I got knocked in the process. A BH was battling with our Gibby outside the hut. The Loba started to self-revive so I crawled over to her and started pinging like mad. She eliminated me but the Gibby came in and eliminated her for the win!

    My contribution? 1 kill and 34 damage :/

    @EdwardDLuffy I have had so many embarrassing moments I can’t even remember. Sneak up on someone sniping with a 99, unload the clip and miss 75% of the shots due to poor recoil control.

    A team was right above me on some elevated area in KC. I decided I’d try and lob so nades almost straight up and onto them. Thinking this would be a high IQ move. Yeah, I naded my self to death.

    When WE first dropped a team got stuck in parking garage with the ziplines. They had 2 choices, die to the storm or run through the storm out of the parking garage and get destroyed by us. We were watching them jump around through the windows.what made it worse, they had a wraith and she could have portaled them out and used her tactical to take no damage. We are the champs 0 damage.

    Uh, the R-99 is so random. I picked one up on drop the other day and lasered a Bang as she ran towards me ... then I could not control the recoil at all to finish her off. I had to punch her to death instead, which always seems mean.

    Another funny yesterday, I dropped a BH just as he looting a bin on drop. He had a blue knockdown shield which he flashed up for half a second but seemed to just say "uh, go on then, if you must." I bounced a couple of times before shooting him in the head.

    Also, am I the only one in Apex with the brutal 'through the heart' Rev finisher? I've never seen anyone else with it (it's always the twisty head thing). I used it yesterday and a random TM was like "WOW! HOW DID YOU GET THAT?"

    @EdwardDLuffy That is not bad, you helped at the end. My first ever game was a 0 damage, 0 kill win 😂

    I have carried games before but not like that. My back is still sore 😁😂
