Re: Orientation Match option all the time

@Kazer13

Please do not get me wrong here and I understand what you are getting at and your suggestion is a pretty good idea, that would let players get more and more practice.

However I would like to add this (see Below) for your awareness since your kid bro has been playing since they were 10:

Apex has a PEGI rating of 16. PEGI have said this is because it 'features sustained depictions of violence towards human characters and moderate violence. Not appropriate for persons below 16 years of age. This PEGI rating only takes into account the content in the game and not the contact element, where players may be exposed to swearing and other offensive language from strangers in voice or on-screen text chat.

The above is an excerpt from an article "A Parents Guide to Apex Legends" the article is a good read even thought it is from over two years ago.

There are a lot of Toxic people out there and you brother might be exposed or a victim of Toxicity. I would think twice before allowing an under 13 year old to play this game. Whatever you decide it is your choice and I respect that just wanted to share some info with you.

Under 13 YO is against the Terms of Service (TOS) for Apex.

I wish the two of you the best.

    Besides the excellent advice given above:  As a father of a 13 year old, I highly recommend turning off voice chat altogether in the console settings for someone that age.

    EDIT I see now that they are playing on PC.  It's definitely possible to remove voice and text in the game settings, and if they're going to play Apex I highly recommend you do so.  You might also consider more noob- and child-friendly shooter games, of which there are a few.  Take a look at Garden Warfare 2.  It's a fantastic 3PS that is tailor made for this target age range and you would both probably love it.  It does lack crossplay, however you can play it split screen on the PS5.  It's been out for like seven years, and I still play it regularly.

    Oh absolutely, I never let him play alone with other people. Whenever he plays alone  (Which is rare) he plays solo in DUOs, with the "Fill Squad" option off. Or we play DUOs together. I never let him interact with any of the... Less savory people on voice chat. I don't even like to interact with them, and if I ever come across someone who is too much, I always mute them when playing by myself. Thank you for your input though! It's great advice for anyone.

    @Asmodeus566 I also think the PEGI rating is a bit much. I wouldn't say that the violence in Apex is that bad, it certainly isn't worse then any typical marvel movie, as there isn't any blood and the characters are really that 'realistic' looking. Is it as Pixar looking as Fortnite? No. But it isn't as real looking as say PUBG (Which I wouldn't let him play)
