Re: People land in a bad spot ,die instantly then leave

I must admit it is a thrill to land on the drop ship or into Skull Town for a tag team boxing match. It reminds me of those scenes from Anchorman when the news crews fight each other.

I guess you don't win many matches lol...

maybe you should go play Unreal tournament or quake champions Free for all modes.

The drop ship isn't as bad because you can bail out and most of the time be safely away from people still travelling to another part of map on drop ship. But you gotta know to bail right away and stop being a hero!!!    .But dropping to skull town?  when everyone else is?   If you are not a dominating player you are basically giving up before the match starts.  You are basically saying I suck and I don't care anymore.  I find it embarrassing.    At least learn to run away if you are out geared.  Why suicide?

Or maybe you are just extremely selfish and tell yourself,  "its just a pub, I'm just practicing"  screwing your teamates over cause you don't care.

But its even worse then that now man.  People aren't dropping to certain spots.    They are just dropping straight down wherever the drop ship starts.... Literally pressing E right after the countdown and just pointing straight down.  Almost every match.   I think most of the players are just trolling this game now out of their own frustration and stupidity they bring on themselves, and to spite people like me that want competitive matches.

  • It's just really good fun to drop in the same place as lots of other players. I think most players probably like to start their matches this way at some time or other.

  • It's all about speed experience farming.

You can farm a ton more experience quickly dropping into a hot zone, getting into a quick brawl, then restarting the process over playing for 20+ minutes and getting a Win.

Not to mention that people doing this, tend to only care about padding stats like damage done, kills, head shots etc....

You are going to run into like this a lot thanks to cheap BR games like Fortnight, or PubG.

another good point.   ALot of these guys start bragging about headshot stats.  And i'm like who cares about that.  Where is your win stat.   Then they start telling me there is no win stat.   I keep hearing there is no win stat and i'm like wtf.

I think they have just blocked out the win stat from their mind knowing they way they play they won't get many wins.     And they keep telling themselves headshots and kills determine your aim.  When they are really just dropping hot to melee and shoot people right in front of them...

I always tell them wins is the most important stat and I'd rather see damage done and game played then kills and headshots.    I mean dropping hot 12 hours a day and quitting as soon as you die  is of course going to get you alot of kills.

I think you are on to something here.

  • Has to be a happy medium- can’t stand dropping on the edges and looting the entire game and then killing 1 or 2 people for a win. Drop busy but do it smart and it’s far more rewarding when you all come out with a few kills and go on deep into a game. however the heroes who drop solo miles away from teamates then get insta downed are absolute clowns.
