Yeah, it's sort of a euphemism. But also sort of not. I still have very clear memories of my first three seasons, during which I hardly ever even picked up a weapon. What my poor * teammates must have thought about that I cringe to think.

And it isn't as if I never get squadmates of equal or greater skill than my own. But that's often just as bad in a different way.

And obviously this would all be 10x worse in ranked. Which is one of the many, many reasons I will never play a ranked game mode again except in extraordinary circumstances, and not for the rank. You have my sympathy, my friend.

    I've played almost 70 games thsi season duo queued with a friend who is higher skill than I.  Not solo q obviously, but still somewhat relevant,.  Our experience with random thirds has been quite mixed.  But, on average, we are given a very inexperienced player.  If I had to guess, we get a low skill player around 80% of the time and a decent player 20%.  Only 2 wins so far indicates that the deck is stacked somewhat against us.
