Hey, as noted, the data is stored on our servers, so Playstation-side progress won't be lost. 

Unfortunately this isn't transferable to Xbox, if you start playing there you'll need to start fresh. 

This may be relevant to you or not, but if you're planning on getting a PS5 when they release next month, Apex will play on that, if you want to continue your account there.

    So I don't need the USB to get my progress back if I get my PS4 fixed or replaced? Sorry for the late reply.

    @XReddenX As long as you use the same PSN account, your progress should be intact. As mentioned above, data is saved on their servers.

    Hey @XReddenX 

    You just need to redownload Apex Legends again and you should be back up and running.
    No need to use the USB, I assume you just saved the game files but it's wat easier to redownload the game. 😉
