- @Cro_Pittt Gotta play Arenas though for event challenges....
- @TheGhostOfKiev you can still complete events without playing arenas? I have never, not even once played arenas and still finish the events. The battlepass is still easily achievable without it too unless you are ocd about finishing every single challenge.
Don't play it mate, if everyone stopped, respawn might take the hint I like Arenas, I play it from time to time and queues are not long, so I really don't see any reason for removal. You can't prove this mode is dead because you don't have access to the numbers. Also, even if the mode would be dead, the option would still remain. Choice will stay there until the game is dead and buried.
As for the challenges, they have to cover different modes, they are thought out in such a way so that you can grind for events and for the Battle Pass to the max without much effort even when playing only one mode exclusively. Nobody is forced in any way. If you actually want to complete all challenges but don't want to put up the work, that's completely your problem.
- @DoYaSeeMe i think your post was towards me so i'll reply.
I guess I'm looking at it through my br tinted glasses and just imo apex was originally and still should be a br or at least concentrate on making it the best br before adding all these different game modes.
I accept that some like the different modes, i have had a go of control, it's ok but i still get cod vibes from it. I used to love playing control mode on battlefield, on delta force and joint operations too although they were called team king of the hill.
I just want them to concentrate on the original plan, get apex br to where it should be, then, maybe, add different modes You might notice that the Anniversary event track does not include any requirement of playing Arenas. Not even for a badge no one cares about. I think Respawn is doing a very good job of balancing challenges for the different modes. That said, I certainly wouldn't complain if your suggestion were taken.
- @HogynDrwg I like the original BR formula (trios) much more than any of the other modes, but it's good to switch to a different meta every once in a while.
I think people don't really get the picture of how big games are developed. There's this tendency to think that a dev can do anything for the game, I see animators being asked to fix servers, network engineers being asked to fix audio, etc.. Well, most things are done in parallel and there are systems that reduce dependencies between devs. A programmer does not have to write code each time a new item introduced to the game, there's an automated system in place that sets up everything once the assets are uploaded. This way, the programmer can focus on something else, like a new system, a bug fix, etc. while artists, modelers, designers etc. do their own stuff. Arenas is a pretty low maintenance mode, most fixes that apply to BR apply to this one, too. - @DoYaSeeMe i get what you're saying mate, i used to play a rainbow6 game on pc that was made of teams of 3 in close quarters, but i played it because i chose to get that game because of what i heared. Apex to me was always a br and feel like they haven't got the full product yet before expanding to other avenues.
I love apex even though I'm #^@&#$* at the game but i enjoy it, its such a good game, its the only game my wife will play lol!!!
I play it for br nothing else but thats just me, so maybe i shouldn't judge arenas, but imo, they used it for 1) more revenue and 2) people might stop whinging about the bugs in br You don't have to do anything.
If you are playing it for the event, then that's on you. You want the prize, do what you need to do to get the prize, the end.
