Removing SBMM is not a solution.

Put the choice in the player's hands. Because this is the DEVELOPER'S GAME default all players to SBMM on. Then, allow the players to go in and choose to OPT OUT of it. Explicitly forcing players out who enjoy what SBMM does for them is no different than just imposing your will/want onto all players. Give them the choice; then you'll know if people feel the same way you do, and you can fight against people who don't want SBMM.

It's not logical to assume that SBMM is for ranked play. I avoid ranked like the plague because it brings out the worse in people, but that doesn't mean I don't want SBMM attempting to ensure that my team comp is of similar skill to others. There is NOTHING learned in getting stomped by a wildly superior team. What it does is dishearten players from keeping that game installed. And once people leave a game, they rarely come back; thus, you've lost the potential for all future sales.

Personally I'm for removing it and leaving the matchmaking to chance, i found the games much more varied in the past than the continuous sweat fests we get now to be honest lol.

I don't think pub lobbies and ranked should be a mirror image of each other. 

the only difference between pubs and ranked is people dont rat in pubs they jsut insta leave and go next

@Aegis_Kleais Ranked is advertised to play with others of equivalent skill so it would be logical to assume SBMM or MMR (not the vaccine) is for it specifically.

A level 500 would be happy with a 100+ but when they are below that and the skill gap is so vast then that becomes a problem for high and low levels alike.

The high level feels like he's playing solo (which he practically is) and the low levels just repeatedly die and/or leave the game. While statistically it might be accurate to have teams of similar levels, in practice it doesn't create an enjoyable experience for anyone which in turn frustrates and makes people leave the game, which is what they're trying to prevent.

Also, I disagree on the ''NOTHING learned in getting stomped by a wildly superior team'' as I personally went through the experience of getting wooped by pro teams for over a week before learning how to hold my own and different tactics that I can use to counter them. As I used in my example in the other thread. When you get stuck on a hard level in a game, trial and error will see you though unless you have a walkthrough/cheat codes ect. Just to clarify, I actually support SBMM contrary to what it might sound like but the way they have it currently configured definitely needs some work but giving players the choice would certainly be a way to settle it.

if you think level dictates skill you shouldnt be allowed to have an opinion on this. 

anybody who thinks level dictates skill. i somehow got into bot lobbies the other night with a level 500 who was doing the equivalent of back pedalling in wow. self admittedly saying he played for a year and a half and is just bad.
