Re: S11 Patch Notes Discussion - buffs/nerfs

@MandatoryIDtag it won't be as bad as the current situation, even preds can get demoted to Bronze legally. I doubt anyone will sit at their computer suicide jumping 70 games in a row to get from Diamond IV to Plat IV, even if they did you could just put a cap. Like say a hardstuck diamond can't go below 1 tier in the same split(Plat) or 2 tier in between multiple splits(gold).

@BaldWraithSimp I play ~1500 games a season, dropping 70 games with huge minuses - probably I have done it before within a few day's time given on average I play ~50 a day and some days for sure have been like "F me why did I even played this game today". Biggest swing I remember was one day when I gained 400 RP during the day - clearly lobbies are full of kids and easier because of that - and then lost all of that and some more that accumulated to ~500 RP and me being hardstuck at the end of the day.

No protection, no limits, only skill (and hacks) should determine the player's rank at all times. Or just introduce ELO system - no more debate about ranking or kills, plus it also takes into account the overall strength of the enemy.

@BaldWraithSimp  with the current system it takes quite a while to legally drop back to bronze, and from there they can only rapidly ascend out of the noob ranks, without any means to return besides smurfing. So its not really comparable to the ability to reverse boost yourself back down which is considerably quicker. You'd be surprised how low people will stoop for easy lobbies, it's rife in COD lol. 😛

@WreckingVi  Yup it's pretty dumb but that's the polar opposite to what I was describing. As I said I'm not against rank demotion, but there would need to be a buffer of sorts.

@Eshshshss  It's a matter of preference, most people smurf to get badges, the downside to that is they're then on a noob account and not their main, this is where the reverse boost becomes much more appealing.

If you set out with the goal to mindlessly smash noobs as a means to stroke your own ego then smurfing would undoubtedly be quicker I agree. 😛

@BaldWraithSimp But they will.  People will do that for easier games.  Other titles prove this (FIFA for example).  Don't kid yourself.
