Yeah, man, it's probably the best solution. It's sad how EA doesn't store ANY log of the voice chat, so people can say really, REALLY rude things to you and get unpunished because there are no logs, and nobody cares. But if you say something light in the chat... you are a criminal. Just no words. Unless I’m playing with my friends in a discord or in ranked with people that actually seem sane I mute everybody and I put push to talk on and I never type in the chat never once been banned by doing this because when people die, they blame other people and then you get into a verbal altercation. It’s just not a good idea
