Re: Stop giving me these useless teammates

lol This reminds me of this Fuse I had on Straight Shot. My teammate and I are fighting at the door of train station in Fragment. We down one, my teammate gets downed and boxed, I have to heal, I go back, re-down him, have to heal again, while asking Fuse if he's ever gonna help us fight. Fuse shows up, I go down one more, while Fuse is just standing there watching, at the door, a few meters next to me. No knuckle thing, doesn't shoot, just watches. I get downed to the last guy, and now Fuse runs away. Bruh... Well, good thing Straight Shot had no abandon penalty.

Then on the other hand, I had this awesome Loba player one game, and we won. Then randomly got her again the next day, and I go: "Wait, I remember this Loba. Can't remember if it's a good memory or a bad memory though. I'll assume it's a good one and we won our game." We then proceeded to win again. Actually did stuff, +1000 dmg, a couple of kills, and just generally played well.

I need to be better at sending people a party invite in these (rare) cases.

@CCbathwater Haha I hate those ones where I absolutely carry a team then get invites.

But then I have games where it may look like I got carried, and then I'm reluctant to add those players because I'll look like those carried scrubs 🤣

If we manage to get like 5 kills each I'll send. But I've had games where we all absolutely smash it, party up and get erased immediately 3 games straight then we all just leave 😭

You are all making me feel good about my decision to stop playing about 2 weeks ago.  All your stories pretty much happened to me during my last rage inducing session.   Game after game of ridiculous teammates doing idiotic and useless things while being matched up against three stacks of masters/preds/smurfs/cheaters.  I didn't even get the 1 in 20 good game and I just couldn't take it anymore.

@1ronKeys That's the party effect. When you were randoms the lobby was easier. You invite and now you are a premade and wham the MM increases the difficulty.
  • @hayhor It's very rare that such matchmakes and games occur... as I play solo lobbies all the time

And in fact a lot of those games where we done well we're actually a lot more balanced. Some weren't of course. But still.

Tbh I don't mind getting a bit of mixed skill because you need it to learn and grow and make the experience varied. But often it seems to lean towards unideal manifestations of this idea.
  • Ranked or pubs this is my experience. Made plat 3 then wham 3 days of gold 1 teammates. Personal faves are Lobas with less than 50 kills, or any legend for that matter. Leave the game and no matter how many fights there were you are lucky if you see them with 100+ damage. I could go on, but this is old news. Respawn has made it clear that the solo journey is not their concern. Evidence is in streamer videos. Watch Faide videos and see some of the potatoes he gets. I am not great at this game, just would like some competence on my teams. Pubs are as bad if not worse. I hopped on and first game our octane jumpmaster landed on top of a mountain in storm point and died. Then started blabbing how he should be revived because he was the goat. As soon as we got his banner to res he disconnects. Goat lands on mountain and dies is the moral of the story. Tldr, yes this is a common thing for solo cue. Forcing crap on a player base is respawn at its finest. Good luck.
