  • @warslag @EA_Darko Thanks for the info! I'm glad there is a report system, I didn't know about that. However most of the casual players don't know about it either, I'm pretty sure. And 99% of them won't go to a website to report a cheater. They will just carry on and may or may not stop playing the game. An ingame report system would be highly beneficial for this game imo (no idea why wasn't it implemented in the first place, since this is a f2p game, so cheaters left and right were expected from the get go).

  • There is no point in playing this game at the moment. Almost in every single game, there is a cheater. They dont even limit themselves to aimbot and wallhack. I just died to a guy who had speedhack on as well. They don't even try to hide it. If EA expect to sell skins etc, they need to have a game that people want to play and invest in. With the amount of cheaters around at the moment, it's my guess the game will die pretty soon. I've played alot since 3 weeks back, and bought boxes, but I feel the game is trash atm because of the non-existing anti-cheat (if the current one worked, we would not have a problem). There should be game-admins, like in worldofwarcraft, that u can live-report cheaters to so they can inspect and instantly ban.

Maybe EA need to invest too much in that, and only sees the shortsighted amount of money they make, instead of longevity. I'd rather bring my company earnings for years instead than months. If this continues, we wont even see ppl keep playing Apex for a year.

  • I've seen several cheaters with all hacks possible having thousands of kill. That makes me realize reporting does not mather

Pretty much this.  EA thinks HWID banning people is doing something.  HWID bans have been around for a long time, and have never, not even once, put a dent in the issue.  You can easily spoof information, or run it through a sandbox...

  • @EA_Darko same old, same old...

Why it should always come from players when a multi-billionaire company can put serious ressources in a proper anti-cheat?

@KoBeWoNe They are putting serious resources into anti-cheat systems. Give them time to try different things and find what works best.

An FPS game with a solid anti-cheat would be a gold mine. Nearly every FPS game I play has cheating in it. Which ever company unlocks a solid anti-cheat that can make cheaters almost unnoticeable will make billions.

There are other articles. It might not seem like they are trying, but they are. I guarantee EA leadership know the potential value of an anticheat systems.

    1. having  the software would allow them to trim staff who have review individual reports of cheating, that would save a ton of money. Those savings could be used to expand creative staff and lead to new content being released more frequently that in turn will attract more players and hep with player retention.

    2. It would attract players from other games that have cheating problems. More players means more money.

Cheating is one of the top complaints I hear from my gaming friends.

If you think coming up with an anticheat system is so easy. You’re welcome to create your own. I’m sure you would be able to sell it to EA for a fortune.

Absolutely nothing suggest they are focusing any considerable efforts against cheating. Worst in class by far. They have no anti cheat of their own. CS:Go, Pubg, Rainbow 6 and Fortnite are miles ahead.

Hopefully they have a master plan

what a bout the in game report does that still do nothing

  • In game report button is just a placebo, there is no proof that the report is submitted to anyone.
