Re: Was Apex movement silently nerfed??

Nope probably just the usual server problems. Even a milisecond of lag can remove your momentum. From time to time I thought my left stick was already acting up because I would just stop sprinting.🙂

@Cheese9Man Me too. This season I've had alot of "you want to run? Computer says no" and dead slides. Very annoying. Game, when I run, I run, until I issue a command to stop running. Memba that!

Yeah, personally, I can't say that I've noticed anything that really "stands out" to me. Obviously, the FPS drops are/were a known issue. I've dealt with ping spikes, packet loss, rubber banding, freezes, etc. But, sadly, that all seems like the typical Apex Legends game play experience to me, more or less. Some days/matches are worse than others, of course. But this stuff all seems pretty par for the course with this game (again, sadly).

Dam, well good to know its not just me, although I feel for anyone experiencing the same. I also thought it was my controller sticks just worn out, but not the case. Well here is to hoping the beautiful fluid movement returns to its norm.

You can get some interesting experience these days, I got placed into a server where I got an interesting lag experience, effectively it felt like I was on the moon, slow jumps slow mo everything was superstrange... I regret not clipping it, almost laughed my hiney off hehe.

  • @Zkepz That the first time you've been on a slo-mo server? They've been around as long as the game has. The really frustrating bug I've seen many times but not experienced myself, is when you alone among your team are lagging behind, with everything you do being about 10-20% slower than everyone else.

Yes, been on rubber banding and so on. But now it was moonwalking, fun experience but ofc if I get that more it would be annoying

  • @Zkepz Yeah man, quite rare but been there since forever. How did you do in it? Sometimes it can be quite easy to score a few cheeky kills. At least when this happens, it's affecting everyone in the server.  And as the game progresses, the speed usually gradually becomes normal.

I was the only one, seemed like everyone else around me was buzzy bees, I when I get rubberbanding I can still score a full win but in moonwalk you can say I overpeak when jump skipping staying like 10 seconds in the air so I was beamed to pieces, still scored one kill hehe.

  • Oh, that's different than a true slo-mo Apex lobby.  I've seen quite a lot of people whose movement has been slowed by about 10-15% or so while others are moving around normally, but never like that!

@CCbathwater "Computer says no." I don't know if you were intentionally making a Little Britain reference, but that's what it was and it made my night! Thanks.

That's what it's like playing on the small island of bahrain against EU servers FML. Still manage to make diamond somehow though
