Re: What is your opinion of the Hemlok?

@DrWizardo Myself, I love the Flatline(i refuse to buy any other skin so I'm Heat Sink for life), the R301 is an incredible gun that surprises me how well it hits at shots I never thought I would be able to hit.
The G7 imo is the most slept on gun. It has such a good mid to long range "feel", I don't know how else to describe it.
The Havoc as well doesn't deserve the negativity. Just tonight I got pushed by a squad while I was alone and I took the first two down with it. The last I finished with an Eva 8 but the havoc did the heavy lifting.
For the Hemlock, for me, I will swap it out as soon as I can. But there was something different during gun game with it. I have never hit shots like those with a 2x let alone a Hemlock. It would shred at any range. Which is probably why I couldn't get a handle on it cause I only had it for about 20secs till I seen someone.
Of course, when I then tried it in BR I may as well have been hip firing an lstar half way across the map.
Tldr, I'm mixed on it. Haven't had someone take me down with one in a while.

@DethMetalMilkManThere seems to be an opinion that it (Hemlok) is "OK" at least from what I gather.
I still use and like it, but I played a game just now with the Scout and double tap trigger and that thing is DANGEROUS :D
I'm am hardly a good player but once you can line someone up, they're in for a world of hurt haha.

This is my take on these two ARs.  The Havoc and Hemlok both present skill issues.  With the Havoc, it's being able to work around the spool up time.  My friend does really well with this, he knows how to work any particular cover to his advantage with the gun.  It's also hard to control the recoil at longer mid range, but that's neither here nor there.  The Hemlok requires extra skill at leading targets.

Assuming you can work with the spool-up time, the Havoc is an awesome weapon to have off drop because the base mag holds plenty of high damage bullets.  It also has pretty good hipfire and the iron sights are good.  The Hemlok, on the other hand, doesn't fare nearly as well at close range ever since the hipfire was well nerfed around S8 or so.  It had a nasty reputation close range up until that point.  It REALLY needs an optic to be much viable past drop.  I tend to trade both for other weapons if and when I can, because I just can't manage to be consistent with them.

I think AR balance is pretty good in the game right now, with all of them having slightly separate niches, but I've come to the opinion that the R301 does too many things too well.  Its only real downside is the mag size until at least blue mag. I had a hope it might go in the care package this season to change things up more than putting it in the crafter did.  To me the Flatline is the best balanced of them all.  The damage nerf didn't really hurt it too much.  These are just my average guy opinions based on casual play.
