Re: why is aim assist still a thing

@XxColdFangxX never said it locked onto my head but it sure did keep it there. 7 headshots in a row with an smg like that? only aim assist is doing that. i have over 40 clips of me being beamed by AA throughout the years. 9/10 the times i get beamed are from controller. sure tell you a lot about how broken aim assist is

That isn't aa. Aa doesn't hold your aim in place for you. You have to fight against the recoil and move the stick yourself.
    So full of misconceptions.
What kept it there was your lack of evasion.
"I'm crouching directly in front of my opponents gun and got consistently headshot. Must be aa." Lmfao.

Dude was a masters and you expect him to not get consistent headshots, point blank on a direct approach?

@XxColdFangxX hmm but its strange that all the times ive done this, only controller players beam me like this. explain that. explain that if its so easy, how come masters mkb players have trouble beaming me as much as average controller players. id love to hear the reasoning

"hmm but its strange that all the times ive done this, only controller players beam me like this"

If that's how you play, you deserve to get beamed.

They don't tell you what input device a player is using. You likely are getting beamed from mnk as much as controller and just conveniently blaming aa.
Kinda like how you practically begged that gibby to blow your face up then claimed it was aa.

I literally can't take any of your claims seriously, because it has been made very apparent that you are just looking for any reason to blame aa.

If my aa acted anything like any of these claims, I'd understand why mnk players would be upset, but it doesn't.

There is no tracking. There is no "glued" to my opponent. The slow down of aim that aa gives just makes it easier to keep my cross hairs on you, and if you're kneeling directly in front of me, like in that video, you will die.

  • @XxColdFangxXactaully it's very easy to tell when someone is using controller, you see in Apex there's this feature called spectating, and your first easiest giveway of a controller player, is the dead-standstill when looting boxes

That would be one way, yes, if you rather waste your time like than playing the game, but in the middle of a fight like that it doesn't show anything other than the PC screen and monitor.
I've also got no way of knowing if he stuck around and watched him or rage quit, the video doesn't go for that long.

He could say he did and I'd just have to give him the benefit of the doubt.
But even then, after that video I'm not likely to believe it was aa that got him killed playing like that.
If it weren't for the fact that he kamikazed right into the gibby, with that headshot consistency, he'd have better luck convincing me it was an aim bot.
  • @XxColdFangxX This just comes off a roller user that has never looked up those good good settings vids.  Here are a few links to browse at your leisure.  The first just being my search so you know I didn't type anything about aimbot in the search bar.

Please find me the "Mouse and keyboard settings for aimbot" YouTube video that doesn't have to do with ACTUAL aimbot.  I'll wait.  Fact is, with the correct settings that reticle flows with the enemy.  It doesn't move like aimbot stuck to the enemy, but it is certainly magnetic.  I only know this because I have a controller that I have tried on this PC, and I have an Xbox One that I have tweaked settings and watched my 11 year old fry masters level MnK lobbies with it.  Anecdotal evidence, but enough for my mind to be made up about AA.

Also, because the lobbies are now mixed, the only people you can't tell what they are using are PC roller players.  It says PC, but they could be using roller (which is probably above 50% now as people want that sweet sweet AA).

"This just comes off a roller user that has never looked up those good good settings vids."

    You would be wrong.

I am on console. Everyone in my lobbies has aa.

You wanna know what I see on my death report? Hardly any head shots.

"never said it locked onto my head but it sure did keep it there" was said earlier in the forums about how aa kept the cross hairs on the players head.

Now I'm not the best player and I definitely don't just stand there and take it in the face, but when I'm going against players of higher experience than me, and there's maybe one or two head shots, it really makes one wonder where the heck you're getting your information from.

Lol you want videos for aim bot setting when that's a hacker thing. Get out of here.
    Aa is not aimbot.

The fact that your taking your context from what people name their videos says enough.

It's a click bait tactic. Wow. You guys will reach for anything.

PC version for mnk players of that would be Godtier.

  • @XxColdFangxX Clickbait?  I actually asked you to provide links to settings that do not have to do with ACTUAL aimbot.  How is that not doing exactly what you are accusing me of reaching to do!?

I typed "Apex Legends aim assist settings" into YouTube and get a ton of vids talking about AA settings that are similar to Aimbot.  I know these settings do not give you aimbot, but surely if AA ain't * then you should be able to find similar MnK vids for settings.

  • @XxColdFangxX Quoted from my post - "Please find me the "Mouse and keyboard settings for aimbot" YouTube video that doesn't have to do with ACTUAL aimbot."

  • @XxColdFangxX Nice stealthy edit here on this one.  I never said AA locks onto head.  This is you conflating what someone else said into what I am saying.

    @SacrificialSloth

yes click bait. You know what that is right?
Those aa aimbot vids don't give you anything close to aimbot. I would know because I've employed the use of some to try them out.

It is literally just a tactic with an explanation of how to get the best performance out of your system and controller.

You want a specifically named title that people aren't calling their videos. Because they word it differently for mnk.
For mnk you'd have to look for "best settings" or
    "Godteir."
They aren't going to call it aimbot for mnk.

But they will for controller because they know it will bring people in to watch their videos because everyone wants the best settings.

So yes it is reaching for anything if you actually believe these videos can give a controller aim bot like abilities.

Also I never said that quote came from you. Lol. Just that it was mentioned earlier in the forums. But hey take things out of context some more. I also wasn't trying to be sneaky about it.

  • Lol, you edited it after I replied to your 2nd post.  So, those settings do not make aim assist easier to control or otherwise give you a better experience with AA (not saying aimbot)?  Because that is what I take from those vids.  You get no such thing with MnK.  It is just sensitivity and turn your graphics settings as low as possible to get the best fps.  This has nothing to do with Godtier.

This was in a reply to me.

This has become like arguing my 11 year old and I am done.  I have vegetables to harvest and get to market.  Enjoy the forums.  I will disappear again.

@SacrificialSloth If there really are settings that can increase the potency of AA then that's a worthwhile thing to bring up. However that arguement was ridiculous. Drop your evidence then debate/test it and that's it. Trying to press @XxColdFangxX into defending a point he never made is the most frustrating thing people do in debates.

MnK players need to stop acting like they make up 99% of the Apex population. Steam charts don't reflect actual numbers, I think you'd be surprised to find how many console players there actually are. Respawn aren't the first ones to give AA to controller players and they definitely won't be the last.

It's not going anywhere, it wouldn't financially be in there interests.

I'm not going to draw you into further debate about these aa settings vids but I will happily defend myself.
"Lol, you edited it after I replied to your 2nd post." You yourself have said.
No. I did not. That's just when you noticed it.
I was editing it immediately after I posted my first response because I wanted to add more to it, and you still had yet to respond.
You just so happened to finish your response before I finished it.
There was no sneaky intent behind it.

And while the quote I said was in reply to you. I again, never said you said it. You're just assuming that because I quoted it to you.

@DankToliet if the console playerbase is relatively equally skilled( wich they are for sure not)as the pc playerbase then I can guarantee you that the console playerbase is much smaller than the pc playerbase 🙂

Especially dedicated people, don’t believe me ? Check last season how many master players every Plattform had and you will notice that pc had more than double amount of masterplayers compared to all consoles combined.

dunno where you all have that nonsense from that apex would be that gigantic titan of a playermagnet on console…
